Let me start by saying I have never been here but I am lucky to have a sister living in the next village. She buys a half a Stilton for me and I can safely say its the best stilton I have ever tasted. Once I have one in the fridge I am constantly in there cutting off pieces to eat its so moorish. You have to try one.

Disappointing triumph of box ticking over Christmas kindness. I purchased two ceramic pots of Stilton and returned within the hour to exchange them for the correct cheese I should have bought, fully expecting a credit against the more expensive purchase. Despite the fact they were sealed ceramic pots and patently untampered with there was a point blank refusal. As a long standing customer this was disappointing in the extreme.

Visited the shop today, Tuesday 26 May and received outstandingly professional and incredibly friendly service and advice from the lady in there.Purchased some Shropshire and Stilton Blue, a box of Oatcakes and as recommended by the very helpful shop staff, a jar of Tomato and Chilli Chutney, all of which are absolutely delicious and good value for such quality foods.Lady in the shop also contacted one of her colleagues in the office nearby and kindly arranged for my partner to use their private toilet.Outstanding service and excellent produce.Well worth the 50 minute drive and I will certainly return.Thank you.

Lovely selection of cheeses made in the creamery, including the award winning Beauvale. Always best to visit early in December a week or more before Christmas to save the embarrassment of missing out for Christmas.

Best quality blue cheese you can buy! Just melts in your mouth and the beauvais is delicious. I was told many times that Colston Bassett made the best blue Stilton but I disagree Cropwell Bishop is the very best!

Absolutely gorgeous cheeses and the opportunity to taste before buying. Their Beauvale is the most delicious soft blue cheese!Back again after the Outlaw Half Distance Triathlon for more Beauvale! Lots of cheese out to sample, all of it delicious, but suck with my favourite. The staff again were amazingly friendly. Shame the shop is so far from home, though they do mail order as well.

Awesome cheese, friendly staff, try before you buy is always good! The knowledgeable staff are always on hand to advise on the differences between the different types of stilton. The Beauvale is sublime, a soft blue, which is much mellower than stilton if that's too strong for you. There are some great white stilton blends with fruit if that's your thing.Buying direct from source is always a great way to support local producers.They have a small car park.

Great shop and even better staff. Saw the shop as we drove past it and so glad I went back. Wanted to buy some cheese but was concerned by time I got home it would have gone off but the lady in the shop gave us a cool pack and keep the cheese chilled until I got home. The sandwiches we brought were very nice and staff even offered to cut some cheese up so we could try it. If you are a cheese lover you cannot go wrong stopping here .

Having won some Stilton in a raffle held earlier this year, I saved it for Xmas. They have kindly delivered it for me as I live some distance. Most impressed with the service, thank you Aileen. It looks gorgeous, hope I can resist until Xmas day!

Lovely clean shop with a very helpful lady serving behind the counter. Stilton delicious as was the pork pie. Very useful recipe leaflets provided also. Stilton and pear salad works very well. Thank you to your team for making this a pleasant shopping experience.
