Sold my VW golf to these crooks. The car was in good nick however I needed the money asap to buy my new car later that day. A price was agreed, and I went down to them. Once I got there the man pointed out loads of minor scratches which I'd already declared. Then he wanted me to take out some cash from the cash machine and give it to him in return for a good valuation of my car omitting the 'issues' he'd found. Just left me seething at the time but I didn't have time to argue. Cowboys.

I have been offered a price for my car, when I went there, the person evaluating the car said there is a scratch at the bottom of the front bumper, could not see it unless from under the car, he knocked off £900 for the scratch, I refused to sell, then I received a phone call from the same branch, different person, the price has gone up, and would like to offer you a better price. On the appointment day, I cancelled the appointment, The, same person called me, I told him your colleague messed me up, he assured me he will offer a better price, well, he was £400 short than the previous guy!I refused to sell it again, the car was on Carwow, Big Motoring World bought the car £700 higher than the initial valuation on WeBuyAnyCar.I had a similar experience with them during the first lock down, my friend was desperate to sell his car, the car had few marks on the alloy wheels, and a scratch on the rear bumper, they knocked £2,000 off, we said we will have all the issues sorted, will you pay the offered price, they said yes, when we went back, they would not honour their offer. He sold it on Autotrader for more than their offer in one week.I think they deliberately devalued the cars on the second visit to show that the owner is not willing to sell the car, It looks like they protect each other.They are part of the British car auction, all the cars go to their auction house and resell the cars at a higher price with commission.I don't know anyone had a positive experience with we buy any car.
