Sushi Kaji
We got a range of foods, from udon noodles, katsu curry, adult and kids salmon sushi set. The food was delicious, however the adult salmon sushi set wasn't as big as I would have expected given the price (would be great if there was more rice based sushi pieces) so went home hungry. I was disappointed with the soya sauce, which seems watered down - from the reviews it might be home made? Would be good if they could offer the genuine Kikkoman sauce as an alternative option? The kids sushi set was a great size though and my son loved it.

On holiday in the Peak District, I came to Buxton especially because I fancied some Sushi- and was not disappointed. Lovely lunch platter selection - with a katsu curry option for my partner who doesn’t do fish!

We didn't make a reservation to have dinner here on the 26th January, but luckily there was no queue at 6.30pm and lots of tables available. Friendly greetings by the main waiter when we came into the door. The drinks and main menus were provided quickly. The drinks menu is limited. We had the pineapple juice in glass. Our two starters (octopus balls and chicken gyoza) came out at the same time, portions were satisfactory and tasted great! Our mains (Ramen) were well presented. However, the Ramen meant to have Japanese noodles but it was more like instant noodles and not fresh egg noodles. Which let it down, because the broth and the pork and prawns tasted absolutely delicious. We still had room for dessert and the waiter suggested the 4 flavoured ice cream filled mochi (coconut, mango, chocolate and green tea). No dessert menu was provided so we went with his suggestion. When they came out, there was no green tea flavoured. Instead we had 2 coconut, 1 chocolate and 1 mango mochi. A little disappointed but we enjoyed the ones we had nevertheless.Toilet facilities were upstairs (separate male and female) but you would need to climb 8 x4 steps to reach it. I do not know if there are any other facilities for customers with mobility problems. They do not provide a jug of water, but if you ask for water, they will give it in a glass per person. If you are not comfortable with using chopsticks, they will provide you with knives and forks. The cutleries are very pretty and Japanese oriented. The restaurant is warm with minimal decorations around the room.

Absolutely phenomenal. We came for the lunchtime menu. I had the sushi and shashimi. My wife had the katsu curry. It was fantastic. Service was quick and the server was very helpful. It was a true experience. One of which we both enjoyed immensely. Proper gem for Japanese sushi. Will definitely be coming back.If you are thinking about visiting, just do it!Thank you! Keep up the great work

Really good Sushi, we will often come here as opposed to Manchester as the Sushi is just that good. Service is always friendly, and the orders are always right. If you're about at the right time the lunchtime offer is great value for Sushi, but even without the lunch offer the menu is good value.

I had a delightful dining experience at this Japanese restaurant! The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy and tender, and the 18-piece sushi and sashimi set with tuna and salmon was a real treat. The flavors were authentic, and the presentation was impressive. My taste buds were thoroughly satisfied.

If you're a fan of Japanese cuisine, you'll want to check out this restaurant that serves a variety of tasty food.Let's start with the sushi. The presentation of the sushi is beautiful and artistic, with each piece looking like a work of art. The fish is always fresh and expertly prepared, with the perfect balance of flavors and textures. The variety of sushi rolls is impressive, ranging from traditional favorites like California rolls to more inventive creations with unique ingredients and flavor combinations.Moving on to the ramen, it's clear that the broth is the star of the show. It's rich, flavorful, and aromatic, with layers of depth that can only come from slow simmering. The noodles are cooked to perfection and have a nice chewy texture that complements the broth. The toppings are fresh and well-chosen.The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming ambiance. The service is impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and always willing to help.Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves Japanese cuisine. The quality of the food, the variety of the menu, and the excellent service all combine to make this restaurant an outstanding choice for your next meal out.
