Rhug Estate

Went to the rug estate Corwen today 25/09/23 and have to ask every time for tables to be cleaned and wiped. The soap dispensers were all empty and a foul smell in the toilet. Who's in charge not doing there job properly...

I enjoy stopping here on my way to Eryri. It feels like I’m in the foothills.Some fine local produce though the service in the cafe is slow so make time.

I have ordered some meat since September, but part of it never arrives and without giving any reason.After trying to contact them by email and phone over the last few weeks without success, I decided that more people should know this.It's very sad that they mistreat consumers and don't really bother with any consumer service. Given such ignorance and irresponsibility, how can I ever trust that they are doing real organic and truly free ranging agriculture? How can anyone trust them not overdose antibiotics or use high quality feed, or care for the environment if they have no consumer service, not care if the consumers receives products or not.

Decided to try the Rhug Café last week. It was spot on! Coffee was excellent, eggs royale perfect! Service was good too. Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely return. What a difference to the Drive Thru! Maybe they aren’t part of the same business.

Their meat delivery service is appalling items arrived soaking wet in cardboard boxes yet they charge £15 for delivery. The meat is warm to the touch. And instead of an apology you get shouted at and told don't eat it then" what appalling service all round"

Ok, I think I got unlucky with the ice cream Girl change over. £5 for two half sliver scoops….but on a positive note, the lamb shanks we bought were truly exceptional and in my opinion very well priced, as were the bison burgers. All staff very helpful and friendly.

Totally incompetent service. Ordered 2 large cappuccinos got served 2 lattes instead. I informed them they had got the order mixed up and I had ordered 2 large cappuccinos. They asked to see my reciept. Reciept shown, upon seeing my reciept the server consulted with the cashier and refused to give me my correct order.Totally incompetent service and I will never go here again. Also they don’t take contactless.

We had a lovely day on the whole. The children enjoyed picking their own pumpkins etc. BUT, as my 7 year old played on the adventure play area outside the caffe, his coat (which I had bought at the beginning of the school term) got caught on the highest footing on the climbing area. My son was hanging there and had to be rescued. His coat was badly ripped. I went to speak to the manager firstly to voice my concerns regarding the climbing frame (it could have resulted in an injury) and secondly to ask for compensation for my son’s ruined coat. She was very pleasant and informed me she would contact the company who installed the play area. When I asked about compensation she said that some could say the coat was ruined by the climbing wall but in fact wasn’t. I reiterated that the damage was most certainly made on the climbing frame and that my son had to be rescued! She then suggested I could have 20% off any purchase I made in their shop!!! Regardless to say I didn’t buy anything there myself on principle. VERY DISSAPOINTED and I am also very angry considering what could have happened.
