Compton Cafe
Lovely eclectic place to eat. Menu is limited but something for everyone, and there is a specials board. We had the full breakfast and the omelette, both were freshly cooked to order and tasty. The pot of tea was a real treat too!They have jams, marmalades and other treats on sale to take away, and the staff are so friendly. Definitely a hidden gem.

My experience at Compton Cafe was truly satisfying. The food was amazing in terms of flavor and portion size, providing excellent value for the price. I couldn't get enough of their homemade cakes, which were absolutely divine.What made this dining experience exceptional was the staff's warm and accommodating attitude. They were attentive to our needs and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The overall ambiance of the cafe was pleasant, adding to the positive experience. Compton Cafe is a must-visit if you're looking for a place with delicious food, ample portions, and excellent service.

A family of six adults (plus dog). We were able to sit together thanks to some table rearranging by the staff, who couldn't have been nicer. Freshly cooked breakfasts with everything you could want, great food, lovely setting and excellent value. Thank you.

Very friendly but overpriced, no idea of presentation ...served a white bread (cheap sliced) sandwiches, one was not even cut and the other cut in half widthways!! A couple of whole lettuce leaves one chunky slice of cucumber and same tomato and a few crisps. Tea was made with off the boil water in a pot that was smaller than the cup. Now here are the are the prices.TEA 3.50COFFEE 3.50Sandwiches 6.95 each.A jacket potato £8 with one filling.Cooked breakfast £9The toilet was absolute gem it was unfortunate that the toilet seat was cheap tacky and too small. How the floor to the kitchen area passes for 5*hygiene I have no idea.. Sadly not up to standard of other places we have been to on this holiday. It's a shame because they are nice people.

Absolutely marvellously friendly cafe that is also dog friendly. The cakes are made by the owner and are completely delicious and varied! I had lemon curd cake and it was an absolute treat but without being sickly. Husband had a chip butty and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is not only friendly with the staff, the whole place is friendly! The customers all seem to join in together and make it a lovely visit! I highly recommend!

Popped in here for lunch with our two little girls. Food was great and the ladies doted on our girls who ended up with a balloon and lollipops. Really family friendly and really lovely. We’ll be back next time in Ashbourne.

The food and drink were absolutely delicious, I had a breakfast which was beautifully cooked and presented and a mocha that was perfectly made . The staff were absolutely lovely and a pleasure to talk to , if I'm ever in the area again I would love to come back .

Great little cafe and open early if you are staying local and need an early breakfast. Decent coffee and the fried egg bap hit the spot. Lovely personal service
