Good disabled parking. Rude staff in Spanish Gallery. Complete opposite in Fox's Tail and Fifteas Vintage Tea Room. Corned Beef Hash in the latter was excellent.High Street leading off Market Sq desperately in need of regeneration.

Bishop Auckland has had a lot of money chucked at it but it's never going to ever be the sameTalk of a new bus station in the town coming soon but when I visited it seemed very functional to me buses travelling forward and no dangerous reversing like it was in DurhamVery quiet is the town and in places very derelict and run downSuch a shameStill remember the hustle an bustle but that's just a memory nowWilko's closingSportsman pub closedWhat nextBut Mr Ruffer has tided up the town and invested and it showsWe just need the public to come back and get independent business get back and have a thriving town once again maybe for a different experience

It's ok to visit & look around but sadly alot of the shops have closed & just a couple of market stalls on the market place. Bishop Auckland was once a busy town but sadly it has declined over the past few year which is a shame. The soon to be opened shopping centre at Tindale hopefully can tease the shoppers back.
