NE Surf School

We had the most epic private sessions with Emily at NE Surf. Myself and my partner booked 3 sessions across 2 days including surf time and video analysis. I've had many lessons in my time but Emily's were the most clear, effective and motivating I've ever had. The stoke was real! We will definitely be back for more next year and hope to make one of the fit for surf retreats! Emily is so generous with her time, teaching and her enthusiasm for surfing is infectious. I’ve just come back from a surf and yoga retreat with Emily, Chris, Sarah (and Zena and Sue too!) and I can say this is the best surf camp I’ve been to in the UK, the gangs teaching style was so individualised, I’ve come on leaps and bounds in technique and confidence. Sarah’s yoga and breath work classes were so special and really needed after some fun busy days. The weekend was so well put together, planned and executed and amazing value for money. Can’t wait to book again!

Just spent an amazing few days in Cornwall with these guys and can't thank them enough! They're the best coaches, super friendly and sooo enthusiastic to see you improve! I'd definitely recommend taking lessons from them!

Had a fantastic weekend on the surf camp! As a complete beginner I was quite nervous about it but everyone was so supportive and the coaches were amazing; very attentive and incredibly knowledgeable so all abilities are well looked after. The whole weekend was really well organised without feeling rushed and the food was delicious! Definitely recommend!

I had the best morning with Emily and Chris!I contacted Emily about a 121 surf lesson as I love the sea but have never been surfing before and really didn't know where to start! From the onset the communication was amazing keeping me in the loop with weather and when the conditions would be best. I was really keen to do a sunrise lesson and I wasn't disappointed. Bamburgh is always beautiful but it was a particularly lush sunrise - NE Surf School provided me with everything I needed for the lesson and I was not one bit cold while in the sea. Emily took the main body of the lesson and she really was amazing I can't believe how much I picked up in 90 minutes with a super friendly teaching vibe I could ask any questions and the lesson was completely tailored to my ability and needs. Chris was watching from the beach and offered so many tips on technique and went through a number of stretches after the session.Following the lesson I have received follow up videos pinpointing exactly what I need to work on along with demo pop up videos and stretches to improve my flexibility specifically in the areas I was struggling in.All in all an amazing experience and I can not wait to get back in the water with NE Surf School I couldn't recommend them enough if you're thinking about giving surfing a go.

Had my first ever surf lesson with Chris and Emily and I couldn’t ask for a better experience. They’re both knowledgeable, enthusiastic and proactive. I progressed way more than I expected to for my first surfing lesson because they’re incredible teaching techniques. The price for a lesson is incredible value for money. Will be back, thanks guys! X
