Amy Millward Dog Training

Amy is a knowledgeable enthusiastic trainer who has taught me so much throughout this last year.

Any is a wonderful dog trainer. She clearly has a deep knowledge and understanding of dog training. She develops a strong positive relationship with dogs and handlers. She is very encouraging and takes time to find solutions for training issues and to explain them clearly. She has a good sense of humour. My dogs and I always look forward to our sessions!

So far we've only had one lesson with Amy to help our reactive Labrador. We've started with working on his recall, we've been working on the techniques given to us by Amy at home. Tonight it was put the test when max escaped the garden, he was half way down the lane heading towards the main road, as soon as he saw me and I called him he came back with no fuss! Thank you so much Amy!

Amy is a very experienced trainer who really understands how dogs think. She is very kind and patient with dogs and owners, and I have found it very helpful to have had her input into my dog's training from puppy stage. I am confident that my dog will now obey basic commands, can walk nicely on the lead, and will be reliable in his behaviour around other people and dogs. I have attended classes and 1-1 sessions and would very highly recommend Amy Millward Dog Training.

Amy has proven to be very professional and has a wealth of knowledge. I love that she doesn't only teach us humans to train our dogs, but will explain the reasoning behind everything. She is always on hand to answer any questions and help resolve any issues we may be having with Daisy at home. The classes are most enjoyable, with a friendly atmosphere and we look forward to them every week. Thank you Amy for proving that Bichons can be trained! We are currently hugely enjoying the agility classes. Highly recommended

Our young dog developed nervous issues after little socialisation and interaction for over a year of lockdown, the recent influx of humans and dogs everywhere caused her to react in a really difficult to handle way. Amy quickly understood us and our dog, she was empathetic, insightful and an expert in her insights into ours and Mia’s needs. Amy is helping us to 'think dog' and has been so patient as we learn how to help Mia over her worries. Mia absolutely adores Amy and gets very excited when she knows where we are going. We are hugely grateful for the warmth and encouragement Amy shows Mia and ourselves and would highly recommend her to anyone in need of training, those with dogs that develop issues or just thinking of getting a dog. Amy is a very experienced and loving dog trainer and we just love her kind and effective methods. Thank you!

I first made contact with Amy regarding my puppy Labrador Marley Who was not willing to go out for walks and other anxiety and behavioural issues. With Amy’s experience and expertise Marley and me grew in confidence. To the point where we have passed Gold Kennel Club Good Citizens Award, passed in performing tricks as well as attending Amy’s agility classes and Mantrailing. I’m very chuffed in what Marley has achieved in four years. With Amy’s professional help it has made Marley a manageable, confident fun loving Labrador.I now have a puppy Bearded Collie named Oscar and feel reassured that with Amy’s professional guidance the same will be for him too. I can’t wait to start classes with Oscar as well as doing Agility, tricks and Mantrailing.
