CITY OF WAKEFIELD GOLF CLUB | We are a friendly safe golf accredited club that welcomes all ages, gender and ability, competitions are run regularly to enable our members to develop their game and work on their handicap we run several golf trips and hold various social evenings in our fully stocked licensed bar, good quality coffee machine and a range of freshly produced food available.

Not many better places to play for the money. Fairways and greens all in excellent condition. Fairway bunkers were sadly all G.U.R. but I'm sure they will sort that over the winter all being well. Barman very welcoming and chatty when we popped in for a pint after the round. A decent course and challenging to all except the expert golfer I'd say. Will definitely be back.

Not a bad course at all. I managed to get a twilight offer so it cost me about £10 for the full 18 holes. The fairways and greens were in a decent condition. Caught up with a three ball in front of me who were very friendly and invited me to play with them. Would recommend for the money.

A good course for both beginners and for those who like a challenge. A nice warm bar awaits afterwards for a snack and a drink and an opportunity to have some lighthearted banter.

This course has always been ok but the last 2 years i feel they have really put a lot of effort into making this course better. Bias as my local course but not many better council courses around, if any.

The golf course is playing particularly well. The fairways have been cut to reflect the recent dry weather. The greens are in excellent condition.A pleasure to play, shame my abilities do not match the quality of the course.

For a municipal course this is a brilliant place, the holes are challenging and it doesn’t feel like you’re going back on yourself which some courses do at a much higher fee. It looks as though some hard work has been put into the course as it was in great condition. I’ll definitely be back, great value and it has a good feeling about it too, none of the usual golfiness about it at all. Excellent.

This a good value day out. Friendly staff but the course is very wet at the moment. A lot of mud, but the good thing is you can often play when other courses are closed.
