Loved visiting here. It was so peaceful and quiet. It’s easy to find and was a scenic drive. The visitor centre was closed when we visited but there is plenty of information along the path.It is free to visit but even when the centre is closed there’s a place to put donations.

We all walked 'the mile', had a nice tea with the staff member, and a generally pleasant and peaceful few hours messing about.

This is an open air amphitheatre where John Wesley preached on his visits to Cornwall on his visits in the 1700's. If the visitors centre is open(not at the moment) you or your child receive a certificate to say that they have walked around the edge of Gwennap Pit and up and down all the levels.

Unusual, quiet, and free of charge.A wonderful 30-45min escape from the overcrowded mainstream tourist places accross Cornwall.
