St Peter's formally Holy Trinity Church Darwen Lancashire.Visited the church after visiting the early 1900s home of our families great grandfather on higher church st situated just to the back of the church.Our great grandfather was christened in the church when it was Holy Trinity, sparking our interest to visit to the now St Peter's Church.The doors of the church were open and we were greeted by the vicar who gave us some of the history of the church then allowed us to walk around and view the inside at our leisure.A remarkably beautiful well maintained Church, friendly people and a lovely experience.

A magnificent church set right in the heart of Darwen town centre. I just love the architecture of these historical old buildings and that's something we must endeavour to protect and preserve for the future generations to come!

Here to the ring the bells. St Peter's have a heavy-going peal of six bells with the tenor being 12–2–8, 639 kg, tuned to E. They were cast in 1831 by William Dobson. The local ringers are very friendly and welcome visitors at their Tuesday night practice.

Playgroup on a Tuesday morning is fab all parents and grandparents if you have little ones on a Tuesday come along your little one will love it
