Old windmill holiday cottage and barn

We are a family of 5 (plus one small dog) and have stayed in both the barn and cottage twice. On both occasions, our stay was incredible. The facilities of both the barn and cottage are of a very high standard and Mel is a wonderful host. The pool, hot tub and garden are also wonderful. I would highly recommend having a car whilst staying at this property, as there are many beautiful locations to visit in the nearby area.

What a great week in Cornwall, Mel & Laurie where like old friends making sure you we were having a good time. Coming up with suggestions of where to visit and which restaurants to eat at. The Barn & Cottage are beautifully decorated and everything has been thought about to ensure it is like a home from home. The location is central to everything and we didn’t need to travel too far for great days out and things to do. Thanks to you both we will be back very soon to explore this wonderful part of the country.

Such a lovely place to stay .. my family and I enjoyed every second . Highly recommend . The swimming pool and hot tub such a bonus .. the gardens are really beautiful. Only 10 mins from beach And The Eden project .. have already booked for next year. .Thx Mel

We have stayed at a number of holiday lets in Cornwall and this one is up there with the best, if not THE BEST. The location and properties sell themselves especially with the swimming pool and jacuzzi on offer but what makes this extra special are the added touches that you don’t get with a normal holiday let. The robes, slippers and toiletries make you feel like you’re on a spa break and the addition of a pool table means that whatever the weather there is always something to do onsite. Mel and Lawrie are the perfect hosts and make your stay exceptional from arrival until it’s time to leave.

Absolutely incredible! The Old windmill cottage and barn is sensational. From the wonderfully thoughtful welcome gifts to the use of the swimming pool and hot tub this place cannot be faulted. Mel was such a Fantastic host and we will 100% be returning. Thank you for such a memorable stay. xx

This is our second year staying at Old Windmill Cottage and we absolutely love it. The cottage, garden, pool and jacuzzi are everything and more. Such a special place with the most amazing hosts. Thank you Mel and Lawrie, we will be back next year!

We are so lucky that this was our second stay here, and we don’t usually stay at the same place more than once.This place is the exception, and is truly exceptional! The barn and the cottage are exquisite. For us the outside space is just phenomenal! Beautiful grounds, heated pool, hot tub, pool house with pool table and drinks fridge - there really is nothing else we could have wished for.The host, Mel, is wonderful and always posts ideas of what to do in the local area (if you can bear to leave the property!) Mel never encroaches, but is always on hand, even rescuing us with food after a long journey, when we had an issue with our online shopping delivery!We hope to come and stay again and again. It was a lovely stay the facilities are well thought out down to every detail. The facilities themselves are great, love a rainfall shower. Also the jacuzzi and built in sound system is relaxing.I like that although the owners live on site, you can make your stay either a relaxing retreat or a party holiday.
