Toby was great and would buy a car from him any day! Honest, professional and did a great job throughout the process and delivering our car without even seeing it! Highly recommend him if you are looking to buy a car from Group 1 Auto in Southend. (Got the car to us in London with no issues and answered all my questions everyday for about 3 weeks and made the remote purchase a great experience.)

Would never use this dealership again. Very quick to jump on you and try to sell you a car but after sales service is non existent. I booked in for a warranty recall and was told a courtesy car was booked in for me, when I turned up on the day no courtesy car available and wouldn't be for the next few weeks. Had to rebook, they booked me in to one of their Jaguars, gave me the details and promised it would be held for me. All a lie of course, A few days before my second appointment had a phone call from enterprise about a hire car I had put on order and asking for payment details. Had to keep calling JLR to get them to sort it as it was being covered by them.Had an adblue issue come up in the mean time, JLR said they had no availability and would look when it went in for the warranty recall. Told me it needed a sensor and would also be covered under warranty, will be here within 2 days they said, nothing. After chasing every day, I was guaranteed it will be here within 2 weeks. 2 weeks later still nothing, called again, it's still not here and actually now they won't cover it under warranty but the parts still on order, they'll let me know when it's in. I have my own warranty on the car which would have covered it but they told my warranty company they was just going to drain and refill the tank. Well what happened to the sensor? I'm also still waiting to hear from Sarah that the sensors come in... The last communication I had was the 23rd of August, it's now been 3 months and they still haven't called to say the sensor is in, clearly it was never ordered! Absolutely useless, just as well I went elsewhere to get it sorted!

As I have used group 1 Southend to service my F type I did not hesitate to pop in when my Discovery 5 needed the exhaust fluid topping up. Great service once again and will be in contact when both services are due.Thanks to all in the service department for your help and support.

Booked my car in on 2/10/23 for a basic repair, earliest appointment was 7/11/23 car left with them at 8.15am no contact from the dealership all day, I contacted them and the person dealing wasn’t available, message left to call me back, I returned to the dealership at 5.25pm my car hadn’t even been looked at.This is the second poor/wasted visit I have had. They have voice messages saying how good their customer service is whilst on hold… delusional. With their inflated pricing and the marque it should guarantee good service. But sadly not, not bad service it’s worse, the words inept and useless spring to mind

The absolute worst dealership I have come across with their service department bottom of the pile!! Wouldnt bring my business going forward.1) Booked my first LR car for a MOT end of Oct, got confirmation, day I turned they had me booked for 2 weeks later (longstanding booking system issue) Then turned up on the rescheduled day for 8.45 for car to be only taken in 3 hours later. If its a longstanding issue sure they can afford to fix it.2) The Share docs service to view my detailed invoice doesn’t work. I get the code & the page doesn’t refresh to provide a place to input this (Again a known longstanding issue). Tried them across multiple browsers and even a PC to rule out my phone etc.3) Booked my 2nd LR end of October for end of Nov (>1 month) service only to me messaged by their number 6pm the night before that they have cancelled my appointment due to staffing issue. Then was advised someone will call me first thing in the morning to get this rectified and no one did. Called them 3 times and no one from from their service was able to call me back, instead they were happy to go home instead.Got in touch with the service manager Mark W and he did help only to ultimately get a 10/10 for the service advisor and not to make it right. The actual service advisor wasn't apologetic or did anything to make it up to a longstanding LR customer. That for me is not customer service no matter if I buy 1p item or 100k vehicle.

Great service from my very first visit to the dealership at Southend. Everyone from the front desk to the service team and especially Toby Wright are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.I received regular updates from Toby throughout the build process and once the car was delivered he sent me a video of my car and arranged for me to take a look before it was registered and ready to take home.I have absolutely nothing but praise for this dealership and would happily recommend them to anyone looking to buy a Jaguar or Land Rover

I can’t give even one star to this place. Because they don’t have any manners to deal with the customers. We ordered and paid for one car. And they gave us one date for pick up the car. On the day we took day off and excited to getting the Range Rover! But we had a call from them just before 2 hours of the collection time that they found a fault on our car! From this happened we call more than 10 times to chase out the update for all week! But ended with we cancelled this order. We never had any call back from them all this time. Now we are going to buy BMW!
