The Dojo Karate Centre

I have 2 children that have been members of the dojo for just over 2 years now. Just like their personalities, their karate journeys tell a different tale.My son took it to it straight away. I have spent years trying to share my passion for sports and competition with him but never finding the thing that lit the fire in him. From his first grading with Sensei Ansari the flames of ambition ignited. I’ve watched with pride as he worked diligently to make small but vital improvements at each stage. Since those early days he has built bonds with all of the Sensei’s who share their knowledge and wisdom at every turn. In a short time, he began competing and Sensei Huseyn has been an invaluable guide and friend for him throughout that journey.My daughter has always enjoyed training at the club but often lacks the attention required to master the skills needed to excel. Through the teams vast experience with teaching children we have seen incredible improvements that have impacted her ability to concentrate in other areas of her life. From Sensei Jackie’s experienced approach with the younger ones, to Sensei Isshaaq continuous maintenance of high standards, her enjoyment is now becoming a passion. At the very young age of 7 she is now independently choosing to commit her free time to working on her weaknesses and in doing so, already owns a brown belt. Commitment, effort and dedication are skills that we all need to achieve in life and I’m very glad that I’ve found a place that supports my children in developing those key attributes!

My daughter has been attending Dojo for about 2 months now and we like it. I like it because it is multicultural and no matter from where you are, everyone gets the same attention. Also the discipline is a very important aspect. My daughter likes the school as she learns new skills and meets new friends.

Such an amazing Karate centre I honestly couldn’t fault any of the team at the dojo. When my daughter first started at just under 3 years of age she was very quiet and she didn’t really have any self belief, but with the time and effort put into her from the Sensei’s she honestly is coming on leaps and bounds & I can’t wait to see more progression. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to start this journey you won’t get a better and cheaper place for the quality of training and support you receive.

This Dojo is extremely welcoming to all and is a safe environment for people to learn martial arts and other useful life skills that can be extremely useful for young people as they grow into adults.This Dojo runs a firm but fair approach which all respect and training is carried out with smiles on faces.My son loves his time at this Dojo and has come on so much in a short space of time.I would highly recommend this Dojo to anyone interested in learning Martial Arts and life skills for their children...

Our son has been at the Dojo for 4 years now after switching club and he has learnt so much more. He gained his black belt and has been able to join the coaching team and absolutely loves it.Sensei Ansari is very helpful and welcoming and teaches the children an awful lot.When Alfie broke his wrist Sensei was very accommodating and still let him attend and tailored his training to account for his injury.We couldn't be more happy with our choice of Dojo

Amazing place to learn mixed martial arts. Family friendly, and very, very, good with children. Me and my son have been coming here for almost 2 years, and I couldn’t find a better place to go, if you want to learn martial arts, this is the place to go. All instructors are very professional and friendly

I would recommend this place to anyone. I took my 4 year old daughter to a free taster session and she was a bit overwhelmed & unsure, Sensei Ansari recommended trying the tiger tots session which is just for 3-4 year olds. So we had our first tiger tots class today and its one of the best choices I’ve made for my child. She jumped right in with a big smile and she loved it!!From respect & confidence to self defence and focus, She will learn so many valuable skills from Sensei Ansari & the rest of the team. I highly recommend The Dojo karate & Tiger Tots.

I recommend this martial arts club. Because a very good club, it has taught my son many things with discipline. And my son has also learned so many new moves and is so excited every single time to go to this club. I feel like within time. My son will reach black belt due incredible club.

I've been attending classes for about 3 months now and I really love it. As an adult, it was a bit daunting trying something new but the instructors are all really friendly and make an effort to get to know every student as an individual, which makes you feel really welcome. There are plenty of classes to choose from so I can always fit it around my week, I'm really enjoying learning new skills and I am feeling fitter and stronger than I have for a long time. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try!
