The Green Man
The Green Man has been totally refurbished and now boasts a superb and welcoming country pub experience with a bar warmed with log burner and comfy seating serving great beer and wine, while next door in a comfortable and nicely decorated restaurant serving excellent food. The village and local area has been crying out for this kind of local pub, and the new Green Man has not disappointed.

From arrival to leaving the pub we felt very welcome.Service was brilliant, food was exceptional as was the choice of drinks.Fire was lit and a lovely cosy pub that has been exceptionally refurbished but kept its character.Highly recommended

We’ve been without a pub for two years. The re-opening of The Green Man has been highly anticipated by us all. I can safely say we are completely and utterly spoilt in every way possible with our new local! What an absolute treat to have on our doorstep!The food is outstanding (and I consider myself a bit of a foodie, the brisket is as good as Marco Pierre Whites at the cube). The selection of drinks is excellent, there’s a real range to suit everyone, and a fantastic selection of gins and even the mixers have been well thought out, there’s a funky london essence draft tonic as well as the usuals too!The new landlord and landlady are the most lovely people who go out of their way to learn about everyone that comes over the threshold. Their training of the restaurant staff must have also been extensive as the waiters and waitresses are exceptionally polite and knowledgable.I can’t say enough good things about our new pub, the only bad thing I could possibly say is that we will have less money as a family as we go and visit and support our fantastic new local when we can as it’s such a joy to be able to do so after such a long time without! Well done Jack and family!

Visited The Green Man for the first time last night and had a wonderful experience. Food was delicious and varied, good choice of wines - Barry our waiter made the evening with his great service. Already booked again for Sunday dinner!

Went online to book a table for the following night... Received an email saying they would contact us within 48 hours to confirm. (Really) then another email 3 hours later to say as they had not heard from us they were cancelling our booking (really)...phoned the pub and they said it was a generetic email... so basically don't book online... very disappointing

Quintessentially the British pub every village should have!Modernised and updated without losing any of it's character or charm. In the bar, the central focus is the fireplace, keeping everyone warm and not only are you greeted by a smile but the team at the Greenman make sure the customer comes first.Wide selection of pints (photo attached) with additional guest ales on as well as a varied choice of spirits and wines.The restaurant is a lovely secluded spot perfect for a quiet bite to eat or a family get together, this pub is perfect for your sunday afternoon dinner or midweek date night.The rear of the pub also has a nice lounge area with a large TV perfect if you need to catch the football or sports!To say this is just a regular village pub is doing them a disservice and I throughly enjoyed making my way through the pints and it's fast becoming my regular pit stop.I'd recommend calling ahead for food just in case you miss out!
