Came to the station as I’ve heard much about it being from London but having Sutton Coldfield friends! Amazing in every way! The bartender Martin was amazing served me drinks efficiently and had a great chat with him! Definitely will return.

I thought i would pop in The Station as last year summer I had a nice bit of lunch and a pint. I entered The Station and was greeted by a young women , I asked if there were doing lunch as it was just gone 12 , she replied yes . I then looked for a menu and decided on what I was going to choose .The lunch offer was £9 but I could not see the drink I wanted on the list of drinks with my order, i asked the young women if the mango cider i wanted was part of the £9 lunch offer? she replied yes after deciding what to choose with for lunch i was then charged £15 ... I then asked why this was , the women told me that the drink i ordered in actual fact was not part of the offer. I was a bit annoyed not being told this but thought leave it ,but really £6 difference because the drink was not on the menu !! I then went to a table as the barmaid said she would bring my drink over, during this time the barmaid spilt some of the drink on my table, which went on another chair and floor , i didn't mind this but I thought she would have come back and wipe the table and chair away. After this another women came to my table with cutlery after putting the cutlery down it only came to me how filthy the table was , I didn't say nothing at the time as i thought the women may come back and wipe the table before my meal, unfortunately this did not happen and I looked around to for a more cleaner table but people were starting to come in for I assume lunches as wellI waited about 15 minutes for my meal which looked ok but the fries were over cooked, re cooked or just a cheap form of frie served. Really disappointed in not only the poor service i received especially with last years visit being positive experience.

Alix was brilliant during our visit today. She was clear in what was and was not available in the brunch deal, but was equally accommodating when it came to removing certain ingredients from some of the cocktails. This was our first visit doing bottomless at the station, so had no preconceptions, however would definitely return, and equally, recommend to others. Thanks for a great afternoon!

The burgers were good, however the mac and cheese side was outrageous, they charged me £4 pounds for no more than 3 scoops of mac and cheese.

my server scarlet was, simply put, incredible. she had such kindness, was well mannered, and poured a fantastic drink. what a hire! thanks scarlet, you rule. ellen was also fantastic.

Decent local pub next to train stop. Great for sport. Food wasn’t awesome but filled a hole and good enough, and good value with the drink deal.

Pretty dope venue not gonna lie. Like, it may be pricey but you're paying for quality. And when it comes to service, forget about it! This whole team absolutely smashes it. They look after all their customers with efficiency, ease and with a smile. Their speed of service is unmatched in this industry. The staff at The Station re-define the pub and hospitality experience and set the bar while they're at it.The food looks good, tastes good and I should know because I eat a lot of it. The atmosphere is chill. Could do with a face lift but it yields an authentic and old timey charm that will do for now, until the inevitable and exciting changes it could make.In summary: The Station Pub is the best venue in Sutton Coldfield. Objectively. The staff? Best team in Birmingham. Objectively. Tom should be proud.

Walked into the pub with family to celebrate a birthday. I had a bag of presents (unwrapped science sets for my son's birthday) and the door men didn't even want to inspect said bag. About an hour later, I was confronted by an aggressive doorman (the same one who let me in without needing or wanting to look in my bag) shouting and telling me I can't bring a bag into the pub. He wanted to see what's in the bag and as I obliged (having nothing to hide), the doorman decided I needed to 'calm down, calm down'. I explained I was simply showing him the contents of my bag and once again, the bar man told me I couldn't bring the bag in the pub.After discussion with one of the managers, who assured me I was ok to have the bag, I decided to leave. There was no apology forthcoming from the doorman for his unnecessary aggression and accusations.I should note the doorman was a small (possibly 5 foot 5 inches tall) man, with a small man complex. He clearly felt big and powerful making an Autistic woman cry in front of her family for daring to accept presents for my disabled son's upcoming birthday. Well done doorman, you certainly know how to target someone with anxiety. I'll definitely think twice before carrying science sets! But just one word of advice, maybe ask the punters to look in their bags before you allow them in. That's what you're getting paid for after all, but then again, you were busy chatting the hind legs off a donkey when arrived. Clearly too busy to do your job.

Been Coming to the station every week for at least 15 year now! the selection of beers and spirits are great especially the hazy Jane guava (do not get rid!) and the staff are always friendly especially Joel!Definitely my favourite Sutton pub
