Great Portland Street
2 platform underground station. Originally opened in 1863 as 'Portland Road', the station was one of the first underground railway stations in the world.The current building dates to 1930 and would appear to have changed little since, which makes it quite quaint, but not as user friendly as some of the more modern stations on the London Underground.

Great Portland Street
There is literally nothing great about it! We fell for the marketing ploy and expected greatness. But we were only met with disappointment. I am still trying to recover from the trauma and the memories haunt me. Would not recommend getting down, especially if you think that it is going to be great! It really isn’t! I would suggest please rename it to portland street so others don’t suffer the same fate as me and Buds.

An original 1863 station built by the Metropolitan Railway line, a creation of Charles Pearson. Railway fans should stop by and contemplate it

Great Portland Street
Lovely street in a busy part of London. Good access to Great Portland Street tube station, and Oxford Circus. Walking distance to Regent's Park, and some stately mansions. Numerous restaurants and shops nearby. Oxford Street is minutes away. Great place to live, work or have a drink in town.

Great Portland Street
A station with a surprising architecture, unlike any other in London, guided by BT Tower, above in the background, always saying Good Morning to Londoners. Beautiful scenery from 205 Bus.

Great Portland Street
Great Portland Street station in a small station. But it is the best station for those who would like to go to regents park. It is nicely connected and runs good service. The staff are nice and helpful. There are few nice restaurants next to the station.

Great Portland Street
A really nice underground station with a nice circular ticket hall average size there is no disabled access to the platforms only stairs. When on the platforms its clean and certain parts of the platform is dark and bright with lighting.

Great Portland Street
I love that you can't miss the entrance to Great Portland Street Station. The blue color decorates the outside of the station and is perfect for a first-time visitor to instantly know where this station is located. It's one of the most historical stations out of all the ones I've been to and if you like that sort of thing, I'd recommend it.

Nice tube station on the Circle, Hammersmith and City and Metropolitan lines.Very clean and tidy and a good place to meet up as it is a very well known and signposted station.Great landmark just on the outside of Central London.
