Stuart McDonald is totally professional, first class technician, as well as musician. Goes the extra mile. Been taking my saxophones to him for repairs for years.

Amazing experience with these guys. Such a lovely family run business with staff that are really down to earth, professional and truly know what they're on about. Spent a whole afternoon trying saxophones, mouthpieces and ligatures and loved it. No pressure what so ever from the staff. Loved the experiance and would definitely go back there straight away if I need anything. Would totally recommend to anyone. Well worth a visit.

Great selection of second hand and new instruments / mouthpieces. Very friendly and helpful staff. The best saxophone shop around this area for sure.

Saxophone Heaven. Step through the unassuming doors and enter a world of saxophone expertise. Superb range of new and vintage saxes. Unparalleled store in the North. Easy free parking

My wife and daughter rave about this place. They have practice rooms where they will bring you any number of instruments to try. So you get exactly the right thing for you. New or used. I bought my first trumpet here. They will compete with online prices but online providers can't compete with the expert advice and service. They service and repair as well so you know they know what they are talking about.

Arranged to meet to view soprano saxophones. The shop is closed during the pandemic but a safe socially distanced venue in Bradford set up. On arrival I expected around four saxes to choose from. There were 14, new and second hand ranging from purple logo Yamaha to Selmer Mk 6. I was left to try them out and reconvened to discuss prices. A tough but thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours and I came away with a very favourably priced new machine. This is the third sax I have bought from Woodwind exchange and I cant recommend them highly enough. Their range of new to vintage is unsurpassed, back up with their workshop, expert knowledge and relaxed hassle free conditions make it my go to sax shop every time.

Stuart and his family run the best woodwind shop in the UK.Simples.What's more, they do so with an outstanding knowledge of the industry. The range of instruments is gobsmacking. They treat everyone, from the best players in the world to the youngest students with the same charm and respect.A joy to visit.

Was in the store for an hour and a half, and for an hour of that, I was left waiting for someone in store. Asked multiple times to try a different mouthpiece, was told yes, then never heard anything back for 20-30 mins a peice. Turns out he was just chatting to some guys the whole time. When I was helped I had decided to leave. I was then met with a snuff from Stuart saying “sorry I got busy” and a laugh and “ok” from the girl who started to help me.Arrogant staff and owner. Not much stock for 6 and above mouthpiecesRidiculously over priced, and don’t have any ligs for the mouthpieces (If you bring your own and they don’t fit your out of luck)Waste of time, don’t make the same mistakes I did expecting to have a professional experience.Pretty standard advice here, but don’t forget that new customers are willing to spend the same if not more as returning ones. I had £300 I was ready to drop in store today, plus about £500 in mouthpieces to sell or trade in, but lack of respect and poor business model cost them that today.

This is my second excellent Purchase from Stuart, great personal service, great advice. Bought myself a second Alto (New) and a (pre loved/owned) Tenor, my original Alto was serviced for while I made the selection of my new instruments. Stuart kept bringing different Saxes for me to try, nothing was too much trouble. Left with a great feeling, job done. Thank you.
