Boulder Barn Hereford

I went for the first time with my boy (3.5) and had a great time. The people behind the counter were lovely, really helpful and chilled. It was empty when we arrived but nice and busy when we left. Great vibe and took me back to my rock climbing days!! We will definitely be back. O yes, food was lovely too and the facilities nice and clean - what more could you want. Well done.

Had the best 7th birthday party! Boys really enjoyed themselves. Very calm, friendly and safe environment, all staff were brilliant. Highly recommend

Nice gym with lots of hard routes for experienced climbers. Lots of easier stuff for beginners too with a big variety of climbing holds. Lots I havent seen before. Very fair pricing and really clean facilities for changing etc.

We had our two grandsons (10 & 8) for the weekend at short notice. The weather forecast was for heavy downpours so we searched for an indoor activity. Rang the Boulder Barn and they were able to accommodate the boys for an hour session that afternoon. Great!We arrived and the boys were engaged immediately when they saw the colourful set up and the friendly and welcoming nature of the staff.Some necessary paperwork was completed and then their instructor, Callum, led them in a warm up, instructions and practice on how to fall safely before attempting any climbing. At all times safety was highlighted.He had an excellent rapport with the boys and they were soon attempting some quite challenging climbs.Callum maintained a good pace that prevented them from losing attention. They had a short break after half an hour and it was obvious that they had been involved in strenuous activity.Steph behind the counter was very pleasant and easy to talk to and I noticed another colleague sanitising all the surfaces.The premises were well maintained with excellent toilets and if you require them, changing rooms and shower. Hot and cold drinks and snacks were also available.All in all, I was very impressed with the Boulder Barn in all aspects and considered it good value for money and have no hesitation in recommending it.

Visited on a Sunday morning and it was brilliant! Fairly quiet, very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere, all for a very reasonable price.We were a group of three, 2 experienced boulderers and one newbie and there was something for everyone. Route setting was really varied and interesting with some really dynamic comp-style boulders, combined with a good range of introductory level boulders.Will definitely be coming back when we revisit Hereford!

Brilliant venue for those who like to boulder. Variety of routes through the bouldering grades and plenty of each grade to try.It can get busy but there's always a good time to go. The owner and staff are friendly, if you need some support with figuring techniques out they will be able to assist.There's a small selection of food and drink options available, haven't tried everything yet but I've not found anything I didn't like so far so definitely recommend stopping for a coffee and panini after you're all climbed out!
