I recently completed my MEP/CPL & MEIR training at Blackbushe Aviation, and I can't express how impressed I am with their exceptional service. When I sat down with Ali to discuss the next steps of my training, she provided clear and transparent information about all the fees involved. There were no hidden fees or surprises, thanks to Ali's meticulous explanation. Her genuine care and enthusiasm for the school and its students were truly evident.The operations team, including Kirsty, Harry, and Chris, deserves special recognition. They are not just competent professionals but also wonderful people. Nothing is ever too much to ask, and on test days, they go above and beyond to ensure a stress-free experience.My flying experience with instructors Andrew Pritchard and Julian Hickman was outstanding. Both are top-notch instructors who not only make each lesson enjoyable but also excel in their teaching skills. Learning should be fun and seamless, and they certainly make it so.Having been in the aviation world for over 15 years and trained at various schools, I can confidently say that Blackbushe Aviation stands out as the best. Thank you to the entire team at Blackbushe Aviation for providing a top-tier learning experience.

After starting my private pilots license at two other schools I decided to finish the license with Blackbushe Aviation. I found that the team there were very professional, well organised and had a great community. The instructors are very well trained and have loads of experience teaching and flying - most of them are airline pilots and really helped me understand the process of becoming an airline pilot. The school has plenty of aircraft to learn in which are all maintained regularly. Overall I couldn't be happier at Blackbushe Aviation.

I did the Aerobatic flight Virgin Experience flight and I have to say it exceeded my expectations. It was seriously fun and made all the better thanks to Adam (the pilot) who was really good and made the experience even more enjoyable.

I visited Blackbushe aviation for a trial flight,and can only compliment all the staff on their friendly and efficient service. The 45 minute flight was fantastic with Raj my instructor for the trip guiding me through the process from taxiing, take off, climb, straight and level,turns and descent. I would highly recommend them. The Pathfinder cafe next door offers an excellent service for family members waiting while you fly.

I came from Hong Kong and started my PPL pilot training at Blackbushe Aviation. The airport is less than 30 min drive from Reading so it is very convenient. Their well-planned curriculum divides the 45 flight hours into 3 modules. Aircraft are reasonably new and well maintained. The instructors are very patient and detailed in the instructions. In each lesson, you learn skills that train you towards your solo flight.I chose the Diamond DA40 as my training aircraft. It is easy to control, and the dashboard is easy to read.

I had a trial flight at Blackbushe in late October. To be fair it was cancelled a couple of times due to weather and with a very short notice. But it eventually went well thanks to the instructor who gave a good brief, made everything exciting for us and helped us enjoy the time. Having started to a PPL course just following that trial lesson and having had 15 lessons so far, I can say that weather is out of anyone's control and really can change in minutes from good to very bad. But it is important to have planes and instructors available when the weather is good, and I have had no issues with that at Blackbushe Aviation. Absolutely recommending trial flights and flight courses!

Avoid this ‘school’ if you plan on doing anything more than a trial. Instructors contradict one another to the point where the student is blamed for doing what they have been told previously. No real consistency in training or advice . It’s all the students fault if they don’t understand anything.Instructors will also voice their own complaints about the school in front of students which is deeply unprofessional. I tried bringing this to the schools attention and received a rather arrogant and obtuse response, they even invented an ‘Ian’ to support their behaviour and my training progress but not only have I not flown with an Ian I have never met this person.I have a few hours left on my package with them but I have no intention of using it, I’d rather lose money then continue with this place. It’s a real shame as they seem to have a few genuine nice instructors who mean well but they’re being let down by the questionable management and practises.

All instructor are amazing, gentle and enthusiastic. Is quite hard to stick with only one of them once they are all great. Kirsty, with her attention, always smiling and support, Aaron, David and Morgan, you are not only teaching me how to fly but you are giving to my life reasons to dream.
