Halfords Autocentre Swansea (Samlet Rd)

Had to wait over an hour to have 2 tyres changed when I had an appointment booked for certain time. Person on reception insinuated I was lying about time booked in too.

Excellent service as always. Being a lady and not knowing much about cars , the guys at Halfords are always happy to help. Chris was especially helpful today, thank you.

Broke my aircon valve then told me they couldn't fill my aircon as there was a 'leak'. Never had a problem with the aircon on the car before, it was cold before I got there, I just wanted it topped up. When I left after they had touched it, it was blowing hot...go figure. Told me to book in and pay for a diagnosis but I could be looking at around £500 if it was the condenser that was broken. Just trying to get money out of you. Avoid Avoid.

Extremely unprofessional company the level of service was not something you should expect from a company like Halfords! The communication from the staff was really poor, the staff were swearing and aggressive over the phone, intimidating and pushy sales and advising further work that’s not required. Did not advise that the equipment they were using was not available at the time and they did not think to tell us and had our vehicle for 5 days for a MOT? We would 100% not advise to use this Halfords as they are clearly trying to take advantage of people. This will be getting escalated further too. We shall see the true colours of this company by the response they leave by us leaving this review, we very much look forward to seeing it.

Service and mot booked. Staff friendly and knowledgeable, good communication about what work needs doing and what will need doing in the future. Didn’t feel pressured to get unnecessary work done. Will use again for service and mot next year.

The staff who I spoke to on the phone were just rude and tried to talk to me like a child when I didn't understand what they were saying. Tried to add on loads of unnecessary things onto my mot. Clearly trying to make a profit and up sell, not actually trying to do a proper job of keeping their customers. My car was left in an absolute state as I'd said I'd be taking my car to be repaired and retested at another garage. I will NEVER be going back to them which is a shame because I've been loyal to halfords for many many years and never had an issue.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, however the work that was done on the car was shocking.I took my car in to have 4 brand new tyres fitted. When I got my car back they had mixed the rims around and that caused my steering to shake violently when I drove anywhere near 60mph. To add to that they only balanced the wheels on one side of the car and didn't do the other side. My car was one of the first to go into the garage that morning so it's not like it was the last car of the day and they just wanted to be done with it. They also forgot to give back my wheel locking nut, I had to ask for it back.

I have used this particular branch of Halfords for some years, I have had multiple services, MOT's and brake changes done on multiple vehicles here. I find them professional, honest, affordable and convenient. I am very happy to recommend them.

Outstanding service and work carried out on my Porsche C4S. What I assumed was going to be a very expensive fix of my Air conditioning system, turned out to be a small fault that the team quickly rectified and the cost was excellent. They are a very honest and helpful group, especially the guy who was sat at the front desk (Ex REME) and the young lad who carried out the work on my car. I will certainly be returning should I require some assistance again.
