I visited with my wife and asked for a price to fix my Mountfield carb. I was told about £160 for full service. But I don’t want a full service, machines not worth that, just the carb sorting out...how much for that please? About £40 to £47. Fine. Roll on a week and the weather being good I thought it ideal opportunity to cut my lawn on the Friday, so I rang. Eventually the phone was answered. “To save you holding, can I check if it’s finished and ring you straight back?” Impressive, of course..Couple of hours later and no call back I rang again. “ ah, Mr Dawson, I was going to ring back but it wasn’t ready so I thought I’d be better to wait and ring you when it was ready” poor excuse for inefficiency and broken promise but mildly plausible, if you weren’t good at customer relationship building. Ok, when will it be ready then? “Definitely before the end of the day, so I will ring you when it’s done and you can collect today”. Ended on a high so rang off and look at my watch, less than 2 hours before closing, so not long.I did not get that promised call and was closing time came and went. Decided to call the next day-Sat.I readied my car and was doing some errand and got a call from lady telling me my mower was ready for collection. I drove over and was presented with a bill in excess of £120!!!!!But I specifically said that it wasn’t worth spending that amount of money on a 30 year old, cheap mower! Along comes the man, “yes but it would have worked, I,be had to change the plus, filter and the oil- it was black!” The last bit was said as if it was a shocking indictment of the care the machine had received.Embarrassed and stuck without a mower I reluctantly paid against my better judgement and specific instructions and left. My wife went ballistic” but you told them!etc etc” I know, I know “ why didn’t they ring you.” Riggings not their strong point I commented.So I await with interest you repost nd possible recompense for not only over charging agreed repair(awaits argument) but for this repeated poor customer service I experienced.

A great family run business. Always helpful in explaining ground care equipment so that you get the right tool for the job. Excellent servicing too. Would highly recommend.

With a call-out charge of £90 plus an hourly charge of £80 I will not be using Sevenoaks Mowers again. Strongly suggest that you look elsewhere!

Purchased a used mower from here on the understanding it was nearly new and barely used. Unfortunately it broke down just 6 days after purchase upon first use and has been plagued with drive problems since. It has been back to the shop many times but apparently a new gearbox was needed, they fitted one without telling us and are refusing to provide this fix free of charge under warranty. Have had to instruct court action unfortunately.

Communication was poor. I called after 3 weeks, and asked if I could have the blade sharpened ,it had not been looked at, left it another week called again Was told it was the carburettor £125 do I want it done to which I agreed. Left it another week and called and was told it was ready, reminded them about the blade, it had not been done at that stage. No mention of how much so assumed it wouldn’t cost too much to have the blade sharpened but when I went collect it the bill was £229. Not impressed would not recommend.

A very good range of garden equipment. Very helpful sales team who offer sound advice and excellent customer service. We love our new mower!

Having used Sevenoaks mowers for the last few years I thought it only fair I gave them a review.I have found them helpful and courteous from day one.From choosing the correct mower for my needs to their after sales service.No pushy salesman trying to sell me something I don't need and no outrageous service charges,simply an honest,quality and thorough service which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

A great local Company, wonderful customer service and really nice people to deal with.I had a few issues with my ride on lawn mower which they managed to correctly diagnose, and it now works perfectly, it even came back having been cleaned and looking like brand new.Thank You

Will not be going back there!!!!!! I needed a pull cord replacing on my hedge cutter went in and asked how much the man said new cord labour it will be about 28-30 pounds said ok that's fine went back dropped if off they said it wont take long and will be in touch after 10 days of waiting I rang still had not been done!! Was told it's the next job and again they would be in touch left it 4 days rang them again to be told it's done so much for getting in touch!! Was then told the bill is 57 pounds not so much as a phone call to ask if that's ok nearly double the price had I known that I wouldn't have bothered i will definitely not be going back very poor service and very poor communication and as for doubling the price never again will my tools enter that shop!!! unless you like to be kept in the dark about about how long it takes and paying more than quoted i would not recommend this place at all stay clear!!!!
