I had a dodgy battery on my Giulia Quadrifoglio which meant that the engine wouldn’t start back up when it was stopped, leading to an awkward recovery by RAC taking well over 12 hours in total. The dead battery also meant that I couldn’t lock my car, and this was my main concern given it’s not exactly a ‘subtle’ car.I bought a replacement battery and the retailer who sold it to me (Halfords) then said they didn’t have the insurance to fit it and made up a bunch of excuses such as the value of the car — I then tried 14 other garages in an area that i’m unfamiliar with, all of which either had no availability, didn’t want to fit a battery supplied by another retailer, or made some other BS excuse.Fast forward hours of frustration to try and find someone who can fit same day to avoid another dead battery situation where I can’t lock my car, I then thankfully stumbled on Lewis Motors.Gave them a call an hour before closing and they booked me in straight away with zero fuss. I dealt with a friendly mechanic, was in and out in less than 15 minutes and charged an excellent price that was around 50% less than just about every other garage I called.If there’s one good thing to come out of my terrible day, it’s that I’ve found a new trustworthy garage that doesn’t shy away from the small jobs. They really helped me out of this frustrating situation and the least I can do is send them a gleaming, positive review for the effort.Outstanding garage, highly recommend. I have terrible luck with my cars so I’ll probably be seeing you again soon!
