MooMoo Nightclub Derby
The busiest Nightclub in derby, or in other words the only decent place to go clubbing out in derby. Derbys night life is quite poor especially compared to Notts, however moomoos is by far the best in derby, always quite busy Friday - Sunday and has a broad range of music in various rooms. The drinks are expensive however that is common in nightclubs. The venue is quite strict and has a electronic ID scanner.

Wish I could put less than one star to be honest, me and my friends who have been in to the club many of times before were queueing up outside for a good 20 minutes and before the bouncer even checked my ID told my friend that I won’t be getting in. And then when I showed my bank statement with my address on which matched, to the owner they then said that “it doesn’t look like me” not even giving me chance to scanIt. And no I don’t expect bouncers to be the most friendly but the way I got spoken to was vile. By one particular one who clearly thought he’s cut from a different cloth.

Avoid the place like the plague.23/06/2023:3 friends, completely sober (first venue of the night), walked towards the venue to have a few drinks.Even before we joined the queue, the security guards screamed not tonight" and denied us entry.All the while whilst letting in around 30 odd white guests while denying entry to 3 ethnic Indians.Reason: "Oh we don't have to give you a reason. The camera looks and guests and the operator "tells" us who not to let in".Sure

Aggressive bouncersDon’t mind being turned away but said he was going to drag me by my throat. Didn’t provoke anyone. The police were called over to investigate. Very bad place and not safe. Especially for girls. Be careful if you’re out in Derby

We went here indenting to have a good night. We’ve never had any trouble and appreciate you sometimes have some. One of our group’s ID didn’t scan at your machine and one of your bouncers immediate starting swearing at him and acted extremely unprofessionally. You demanded he get his bank statement out and didn’t explain why and started swearing at him. Once his bank statement showed his ID was legitimate you let him in but not before swearing at him . You completely ruined his night and had a power trip. When there’s been so many incidences of bouncers abusing their power recently you need to recognise this and start treating people with respect. He never acted aggressively at all and was simply confused. Please train your bouncers to treat people with respect

Just moved to Derby from London, came in with my best friend , once we got to the door, the security don’t even said anything, just said get out lads, I’m 32 years old, and this was so disappointing, both of us super chill vibe, we came in and said “ good evening “ we were completely ignored, I’m general manager in this really nice restaurant in Nottingham, seriously 5 security guys at the door plus a girl, one of them just look at our tattoos and said to the other one “ no” and the other guy came over and said “ get out lads” no respect, no words to describe it really, I’ve been told this kind of things happen in derby often, so I always got to Nottingham instead, but tonight I said let’s give it a try, and really poor service poor attitude, we are both good looking guys with good energy, I do agree now with everything people say’s about Derby.Not like I need this place for anything, but the poor attitude and costumer service.Venues like this will never go far.

I don’t even want to give this place 1 star. Bouncers attitude disgusting and disrespectful. Didn’t go in but got told we would be refused entry if we tried to go again. We had no id - we are both over 45! We questioned why Id was required and was told it wasn’t an age thing. My veteran fella asked why he needed to provide ID as he went to afghan 3 times without Id and the bouncer started arguing and barred us on the spot. Utter disrespectful jerk. Their attitude absolutely stank. Much better places to go for a good night out!Maybe they should bring in compulsory military service to all so people aren’t such a-holes to those who have served - just a thought.

Came here last weekend, stood in the que for about 10 minutes only to be turned away by 3 bouncers and when we asked why they were rude saying they don't have to have a reason but to try bingo instead lol. Absolutely disgusting behaviour..

The worst nightclub I have ever been. They check ID and they scan it why ? Completely misunderstanding. It is not posh club just student’s club ! You have to pay 5 £ for ticket but you even can’t sit down anywhere !The security is rude and they think that they can say everything to you ! I don’t come back there anymore !
