We had a great day at Whitmuir, visited the attached antique store and bought some antique books. We also visited the local cafe and had coffee, soup and toasties. All very delicious, service was great, staff smiley and friendly and it had a nice family atmosphere. Lovely little place.

If you’re thinking of going here, I wouldn’t bother.£5.75 for a Bacon Roll - the bacon wasn’t smoked and had clearly been microwaved.£3.20 for a Flat white that was burnt, bitter and didn’t arrive until well after our food. There were at least 7 staff floating around whilst the cafe was fairly quiet yet the service was shocking.Shame.

We went to meet our friends there. One of our friends is particularly keen to eat healthy food. We had tomato soup ( homemade) and homemade bread. We then had mushroom quiche and salad. Everything was fresh and grown from their garden. The food tasted wonderful. We would all recommend the place. Fresh food at its best.

A lovely visit to Whitmuir today. I have been wanting to visit for a while and was not disappointed. The cafe is really pleasant and comfortable and we had a lovely seat by the wood burner. We were impressed with the menu selection as even though it was small there was plenty to tempt us. We decided on the steak ciabatta which was the days special. It was packed with lovely tender steak and the mustard mayonnaise was delicious. After lunch we had a browse around the gift shop which has a wonderful range of tempting gifts and cards. The highlight for me was Junk Shop Antiques, the shop has a fantastic range for all tastes and many beautiful items. We chose a lovely framed print.I would recommend a trip to Whitfield and the surrounding countryside makes it a pleasant drive.

Whitmuir is a delightful cafe near West Linton in the Scottish Borders. Excellent coffee and meals are served here in a laid back relaxing atmosphere.Visited here twice in the last few weeks and everything we sampled was delicious. The first time it was for lunch and we tried the home made sausage roll and the quiche. The second time it was for brunch where we tried the cheese scone and the shortbread.Coffee is here is also excellent quality. With an adjacent room for entertaining children, and an antique store in the same complex Whitmuir Cafe can cater for most tastes. Highly recommended

Absolute gem of a place. So much to do to entertain children. Lovely cafe with great array of cakes and lunches etc with indoor and outdoor seating, a tee pee inside with books and toys to entertain wee ones. Tractor play area. Lovely woodland walk for children spotting the fairy houses, wooden fort, pond and bug hotel. Surrounded by beautiful countryside ☺️

Our family hired 'The Nest' function room that is separate from the main building and the catering/food was great and the staff very accommodating. The room could comfortable seat and support 9 of us though would have benefited from air-conditioning - weirdly to knock down the humidity as it was raining - and an 'on annex' toilet as the trek across the car park to the main building was an inconvenience in the rain and awkward for the members of the family with low mobility. The on site Antiques shop was interesting; sadly due to rain we did not go round the plant nursery or the walking paths - maybe in the future when we were passing.

Went for brunch and had a great time. Lovely setting in the borders, great outdoor play area for kids, lovely food and service. Baby changing facilities in both the ladies and gents. Nice antique shop on site, as well as a beautiful plant/flower garden to the back of the building. Highly recommended for a trip on a sunny day.
