STEFAN'S BUILDING

We chose Stefan to build our extension and are happy that we did. He was dependable, considerate, worked hard and to a high standard. He made recommendations on small changes to improve our build without going over budget thanks to his years of experience. We now have a great extra space and he will be our first choice for any future building or plastering that we need.

We have used Stefan’s services for a number of jobs including plastering, structural work and french door fitting. Stefan was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. Stefan came to do some plastering for us a couple of months ago now. He was brilliant - punctual, polite and professional throughout. Stefan did a fab job and kept so tidy as he worked. He is a lovely chap who does a brilliant job. Would 100% use Stefan again!!

We feel exceptionally lucky to have found and hired Stefan to re-board and re-plaster the 3 bedrooms. We just moved into our first home and the job ended up being much larger than we had envisioned as lath and plaster crumbled off the walls when we removed the wallpaper. Stefan not only did a fantastic and speedy job making our walls and ceilings sound and beautifully smooth but has also been a kind, thoughtful and supportive presence to have had in our home. We need to DIY the things that we can in order to afford the renovations we want and Stefan has provided us advice and encouragement without judgment of our poor skills! As other aspects of the house get redone we will definitely be hiring Stefan again and we would not hesitate to recommend him very highly to others - in fact we have already recommended him to several friends. Specifically in this job Stefan made good all 4 walls of 3 rooms inc. boarding and plastering a new stud wall, boarded 3 ceilings with sloped edges. He was happy to use materials we bought and he either bought or recommended what we needed if we didn't have it. He was straightforward about what the job entailed, how much time it would take, how much time he had and the quote per room. He's always on time and kept in touch on text/phone if he needed to. He wasn't phased at all that we and others were working in the house and never made us feel in the way. He was quiet, tidy and always respected our home even though it looked like a building site!

We felt so lucky to have found Stefan to do our building work: from start to finish he has been professional, responsive, patient, honest, and helpful, going the extra mile. He did a range of work for us, building a new single-storey extension, widening internal doorways, extending the front porch, internal plastering, re-tiling, and laying new floorboards. He listened to our concerns and questions, was always open and honest about possible solutions and prices, and truly went above and beyond every time to make sure we had a high-quality build and experience including advising on other contractors. When a Velux window didn't work he spent almost an hour on the phone with them to fix it! I recommend him to everyone looking for similar work.

Stefan is seriously the best! He not only tore down our old masonry wall and put up a new stud one for a bigger kitchen as well as moving an opening for our under stairs, but he's just a total gem. Our dog absolutely loved him, and definitely missed him once he was done! Stefan's skills are top-notch – the plastering he did is the smoothest surface i’ve ever seen. Plus, he's super tidy, cleaning up every day which was great while we were living in a building zone and meant our dog could walk around safely at the end of each day. Can't thank him enough for going the extra mile to help us out. Renovations are so stressful and it made a huge difference knowing we had someone who we trusted. If you need a someone who's not just great at his job but also a genuinely lovely person, Stefan is your guy! Highly, highly recommend!
