Hired vans on two separate occasions from this company. Both times excellent service. New vans, drove well, Great price, No hassle. Would recommend.

Reasonable prices but customer service and attitude is wanting, van I used had no radio, no water in windscreen wipers, no spare, central locking was temperamental and the trip meter did not work either.The worst part they charged me £42.00 to pass on a £3.00 Dartford crossing charge when they cut my holiday short by a day as they wanted the van back by 9am my advice don't use them.

Scam . Be Very Careful. Took a van from this company. Drove 4 weeks . Got minor scratches . Body work will cost maximum of £300. Guess how much they Charge me ? Didn’t even bother to call me or give me a quote . Straight send my company a invoice of £3170 . I even called them saying let me get a quote from other garage they said no to me . The lady in the reception is rude as hell . If you hire a van or car from them so they will make up some random invoice from a garage they know and will make you pay for it . This company should get banned . I am taking this to court .

The van they gave us did not have an MOT, and had a damaged tire which caused severe vibrations. They refuse to take responsibility or reimburse any of the money paid. AVOID

Wanted a nice car for a leisure trip to Derby was not disappointed. The Hyundai these chaps supplied was top rate made the whole trip much more relaxing and enjoyable.From the off their customer service was faultless, from queries and enquiries to receipt of the vehicle.I cannot recommend them highly enough.Excellent service reasonable rates can't ask for more.

All the charges are fake.You would be lucky if they do not claim any damages on the car because they are not giving you the damage-sheet when you take the car out. Your deposit will be held and not paid.All in all do not hire any car from this company. it is fraudulent.

If I could give 0 Star review - I would have.Avoid this business at all costs. Do not be fooled into thinking this is a business that operates with public health in best interest. They charge the same rates as the mainstream car rental companies but with 1% of the service expected.I had rented a car during the height of the C-19 pandemic. If you were thinking along the lines that I was, you would probably be expecting maximum levels of sanitation. This was unfortunately not the case.Hiring a skip would of been cheaper than this mobile rubbish bin.Snotty tissues in the foot-well, rubbish in the side doors and boot.When I queried this with the young gentleman that was dealing with my rental agreement, he reluctantly removed the tissues and hoovered the foot-well.The car was still in a pretty bad state and I was forced to finish the job the young gentleman had started.My partner and I proceeded to cook ourselves in the tin can that was provided, during a heatwave weekend, following promises of A/C and failure to deliver.On another note, I like to point out that the vehicle had a number of warning lights displayed on the dash as I pulled away and the car was well overdue for a service (probably not road legal) particular in a heavily regulated industry such as vehicle rental.I thought the manager of this business would welcome my feedback and see it as an opportunity to better his companies service offering. This was not the case....He was extremely rude, unsympathetic and adamant that Thurrock Car & Rentals were doing everything they could possibly do to provide a satisfactory service.Once the heated conversation came to a close and no resolution identified, he explained to me that I should stop complaining and that he is now off home to his £1M house" - A strange remark

cI was in a hurry to rent a van so I did not read reviews. What a costly mistake!! Hopefully, this review, as well as others, will reach a wide spectrum of potential customers and will help them make the best decision.A day's rental ended up costing me over 200 GBP, due to a dent they found. When van was returned, they didn't go for the interior, etc, but right for the dent.They said the van was 2 weeks old. I have never seen a 2 weeks old van with 7000 miles on the clock. And with such a dirty windscreen. Needless to say, I had to fill up my own screen wash, but they claim they checked the vehicles daily so the dent had not been there.Well, though it is likely that during short spells of time the van was left unattended the arch has been pushed in with a wrist or a knee, I consider this as likely as a 2 weeks old van with 7000 miles on the clock...Please, check the reviews (Yell) and do not make mistakes which have already been made.

If I could give them no stars I would.Used a mini bus from them for a weekend. After we used them they have claimed there is damage to the vehicle and automatically taken £1200 out of my account. After trying to contact them with no response I went through the bank who managed to speak with them and got my money back. 2 weeks after I got the money they took another £1200 out of my account with no permission or messages. This company is a joke and try and claim fines and charges for no reason at all! Joke! 0 stars!!

Came over to England for the summer from Norway, needed a rental car for driving down to the southwest (Cornwall) and back to Brentwood for visiting family. They delivered the car (KIA Sportage, less than a year old, spotless, with only just over 5000 miles on the clock) to the Brentwood office for me and picked it up at the end of the rental period for me for no extra charge (was originally supposed to pick up the car at the Stanford-le-hope depot). Paid £730 for the rental period (18 days) when the lowest for any of the major rental companies was double that (for a slightly smaller car) and the airport branches of all the major companies (Gatwick in particular) were asking close to 4 times that for the same car. Deposit was refunded about a week after the rental period, so all in all, can't fault them and would like to thank them for making it possible for me to actually manage the holiday (as paying 4 times that price from the airport was out of the question - the rental car would have cost more than the rest of the holiday altogether)
