Could well be the most consistently good fish and chip shop in the 'hood. Often crowded and parking is a bit limited. Don't leave it too late - closes at 2100hrs! Oh and still cash only.

They were nice in there and it looked clean. But the chips were under done. Sausages and fish OK, but the batter was very flat. The curry sauce was really wet. Definitely won't be going back, very disappointed.

Fairly average fish and chip shop - I’ve had worse but I’ve definitely had better. The chips were a bit soggy and could have done with crisping up a bit, and the cod had quite a thick batter that was a bit undercooked and soggy on the inside; both were quite greasy. The fish itself was fine but completely fell apart as soon as a knife and fork touched it.The fish was already cooked when I came into the shop but I was assured it was recently cooked (they would say that wouldn’t they?) Cod, small chips and mushy peas cost £10.50. The portion sizes were generous. The food was placed in a plastic bag rather than a paper one which is never a good sign, and would have made it go even soggier if I didn’t remove it as soon as I got to the car.Ok if you’re very local and don’t want to drive too far but I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to get food from here when there are better options such as Silver Sea or Skippers not far away.

Cash only in 2023 seems a bit odd but I can't complain about the food.

A good reasonably priced fish and chip shop. The chips aren't greasy, nor is the fish batter. Good sized portions too.

Pleasantly surprised. Generous portion of chips, fish well cooked and moist. I was not a big fan of the look of the batter, but it was tasty enough, not quite crisp, but not soaked in oil either. Likewise the mushy peas didn’t look great, not particularly mushy, but tasted OK. I’d happily go back next time I am in the area.

Been going to Lees for 45 years now, never once had a fish bone. Great selection of extras like fritters and sauces. Also has a Chinese menu.

Chips really nice and well fried not greasy, fish not too greasy and well fried too but the batter was a bit thin for my liking.
