We were reffered there yesterday by our GP. Not worth a waiting. You can check your eye vision in any commercial place for 50 pounds on a modern equipment and get a precise result. Here you have nothing precise after 5 hours of waiting, very old methods and no modern equipment! Just a joke but not an eye clinic. And I have cautch a bug to be fully lucky.

The staff (the people who deals with the patients) & doctors are absolutely lovely. They provide their best even when NHS is super overcrowded (After NHS closed down Lewisham eye clinics, now more patients than ever here).Realistically this clinic is nowhere near enough when it comes to handle the number of patients. Doctors are overbooked (they expected to 2-3 patients at the same time) but they still keep their head up and do their best! Thank you so much for that.I am really upset about the secretary of this clinic and the call center/customer service which is provided via phone calls. My consultant doctor clearly directed me to come back in 3 weeks time on the day when she is at the clinic. I handed in my patient paper before I left and to my surprise everything went very wrong. The secretary booked for a 4 weeks appointment with a doctor who I have never met & doesn't follow up my ongoing eye issue & my weeks long regular treatments. Also it happened that my doctor directed me to come back in 4 days as to check on my new treatment of my eye. The secretary didn't book me at all! Even my hospital letter said the date but I wasn't booked in. I went to reception and it was up my doctor's kindness to see me & squeeze me in on her very busy day! She did! My doctor remembered me and told the receptionist that she was expecting me and will look at me.NHS system is clearly bad. Secretary and doctor have no communication. Secretary didn't know your case and doesn't care either. If your try to call they will tell you that this is your appointment, not with your consultant? Does it matter to you? And hang up on you.

Awful ....Went to them because I had a problem with my eye , wouldn't have gone if could had got an appointment quickly at opticians but I couldn't...so I didThey told me I had to go A & E to get refered back to them ...so basically you have to sit with everyone else for 5 hrs before someone looks in your eye to refer you back to them ...Waste of a day

I was referred to this hospital over a month ago. I have a serious eye condition and I cannot get an appointment. I keep getting passed onto different people. I am so worried and find all the phone lines just run out with no answer and very unhelpful.

Was referred for a scan from a different dept within King's and attended this morning. While it's clear the unit is dealing with a huge number of patients, the staff I met were professional and courteous. In particular the kindly Mr Eleftheriadis was proficient and considerate. Thank you all.

Had three separate sets of tests in quick succession. Very organised. They did however fail to alert me beforehand with a letter or with warnings about the eye drops and driving/cycling.

Called eye clinic today to cancel apt for my husband who is seriously ill at the moment. I feel the call handler in eye clinic could do with little more training. The young man answered with a simple Hello with no enthusiasm. I thought maybe saying good morning eye clinic" was a basic greeting?"
