LONG HONEST REVIEW. If you are considering using Dave for your landscaping or any other work, I strongly recommend you re-think this decision unless you want to be let down countless times and have to constantly chase & message him for any information or answers/start dates. I have had nothing but constant let down from Dave. Absolutely shocking communication (if you can call it that) and am now taking my business else where.Dave was originally meant to complete a full garden renovation for us at ‘the start of august’. We booked this in back in May so already on a 3 month wait. I contacted Dave towards the end of July as promised to try and obtain a start date, to then be told he was ‘a couple of weeks behind with work so would be looking at end of august now’. We agreed to wait as of course, these things can happen, however we were due to go on holiday on 1st September so agreed with Dave to start on 12th September when we were back. He said this worked out perfectly for him.I contacted him on Friday 9th sept when we landed to ask what time he’d be there Monday. No response. Contacted again on the Sunday asking if he was still coming, again no response. Monday start date came and no show from Dave so I messaged saying how let down we were etc & that I would be leaving a review. I immediately got a reply saying he ‘thought he had messaged me’ and that he’s behind again. If he was so behind surely he’d have let us know?! I gave him the opportunity at this point to tell us if he had no intention of turning up but he insisted he would. He then gave another lead time of 2-3 weeks??! Should have seen the signs with this one to be honest as not sure why he’d be so far behind again but we waited. He then promises to come over to check over the garden and make sure we are all happy, DOESN’T TURN UP. Eventually he re-arranges to turn up to look at the garden & did come on Monday 3rd October, promising all that week he would DEFINITELY be starting on Monday 10th October & confirmed this again in person.I contacted him on the Friday asking what time he would be here Monday, history repeats itself & I received no reply. Contacted again this Sunday evening stating I’m not happy & is he turning up as promised & he states he is behind ANOTHER WEEK?!! All seems like a pack of lies to me and we have now been waiting 5 months for him to just not turn up & keep fobbing us off. Quite frankly I don’t feel comfortable handing over thousands of pounds to someone who can’t even reply to a message or have the courtesy to let you know what’s happening let alone turn up to the job! Honestly don’t know how he’s running a business. I have all messages to prove all the above is legitimate. Complete waste of time and ridiculously unprofessional. Not even an apology for all this being caused!! Disgusting!

After some very unreasonable quotes from contractors recommended to us, I contacted D&R after searching for paving contractors on Facebook. Dave was very helpful and demonstrated a lot of knowledge. He also quoted us half of what some of the other contractors were.Even though he was fully booked for a few months, he managed to fit us in on some upcoming weekend days. Fully informative throughout and was very communicative in answering my 101 plus queries. We were amazed at the speed and quality of the work. Very happy customers, fully recommended.
