Kumon Maths & English

Tony the Instructor at the Kings Hill & Malling Kumon Centre has really helped my 5-year-old son since he started Kumon. He lacked concentration and was unable to work independently. Tony instantly picked up on his areas for improvement and worked with my son and taught me tips to overcome these obstacles. Since then, my son is adding confidently, quickly and accurately and has made great strides with his study routine. He is now constantly asking me maths questions in the car and adding up for enjoyment.

We are very pleased with the progress our son made since starting the Kumon Maths program at the East Malling Kumon Centre.In just a few of months we can see a transformation from the boy who was scared of Maths, into someone who loves it.His confidence has grown a lot in all the subjects at school and we are looking forward to him becoming an advanced student.Tony Capozzi the Instructor at East Malling has helped us by setting the right level of study, motivating our son, and giving us regular guidance on how to help him reach his goals.

I am very pleased with the progress my daughter has made since beginning her journey with Kumon. She started when she was 6 years old at the begining of year 1, when I noticed she was lacking confidence in maths to the point where she would not even try to answer a question if she didn't know the answer, just left it blank rather than getting it wrong.I did not want her to have to struggle with a life long lack of maths confidence, having been there myself, so I enrolled her in our local kumon centre as had heard such good things about it from others. Tony Copozzi, the instructor at the East Malling Kumon Centre, has been very helpful and honest about the process from the start. He clearly explained what would be expected of my daughter to her, and also the benefits and achievements that would follow as a result.The work involves a sheet of questions to be completed everyday, and a once a week session at the centre, progressing through a number of stages. It has not always been a smooth journey as just when she is comfortable at the end of a stage and finding it easy, the start of the next stage is then harder and confidence dips again. Tony is always on hand to either talk on the phone or meet to discuss how to get back on track when she was struggling with harder sheets or a dip in motivation. The goal of being able to do maths that is above the level required at school has always driven her to persevere. The awards she has received along the way in the form of medals and certificates, and even a medal presented by the Mayor of Maidstone, have really helped her sense of pride in what she has achieved.She has stuck with now it for over 3 years and is in year 4. She is working above the level expected for her year, and the speed at which she can do the sums amazes me! Her multiplication and division are above what is normal for her age, and the main thing to come out of it all for me is she believes she can do it now.I am also happy with the discipline it has given by getting her used to doing some work everyday, which will benefit her when she comes to 11+ studies. It can be hard work for both child and parent but the results are worth it. I would recommend joining the kumon journey to anyone with a child who either lacks maths confidence, or is already confident but can achieve much more than School can deliver due to class sizes and time limitations.

My son started doing Maths Kumon 6 months ago, at the initial stage it was a little challenging trying to get him to do the work but with continued persistence and trusting the Kumon process he has made fantastic progress and he now loves doing the work.Our Kumon instructor has been phenomenal,his support through this journey has helped immensely, 6 months later we can now see great results in my son’s attitude to work and his ability to do maths confidently, his competitive streak is also now kicking in.THANK YOU KUMON!

We enrolled our son in Kumon for maths since the last 4 months and we have seen a remarkable difference in his attitude towards studying.He is much quick in doing his calculations and loves challenges, which each level bring with it.He has always been a bright child but lacked the ability to sit and focus, as would get easily distracted. We have noticed Kumon has taught him routine and discipline in such short time and hope it continues this way.Tony Capozzi the instructor at the East Malling Centre, is very good in his ways in inspiring young kids at concentrating and doing their best especially boys. He also encourages and guides parents in motivating and working along with their child in achieving their goals together!

Tony the Instructor at the Kings Hill & Malling Kumon Centre has really helped my 11 year old daughter progress with her maths. Bella started 3 years ago and was struggling to grasp the fundamentals of addition, subtraction, multiplication and especially division. Her confidence was low and she would try and avoid maths questions at all costs. Starting slowly, Tony built up her confidence with the basics, and as she completed each stage, she moved onto the next level and built up her competency. She is now proficient in all of the basics. This has made a huge difference in both her school work and her self esteem. I am incredibly grateful to both Tony, and his lovely team and would highly recommend Kumon.
