I approached Ewan to design a modern, bright sun room to sit comfortably beside the stone fabric of our farmhouse. He fulfilled the brief perfectly, we love the design, it makes the most of the sunshine, is beautifully insulated so we can enjoy it all year round. He is easy to work with and took on board all my ideas to incorporate them into the finished room.

It was a pleasure spending time with Ewan to create our plans. He's extremely efficient and great to talk to about all of the possible options. Our planning also sailed through without any issues at all! Highly recommended.

We engaged Ewan & Bright Studio Architects to help with our house extension. The aim was to deliver an extension to a period building that would introduce an element of contemporary design.We’ve been delighted with the results. The whole process felt collaborative with Ewan helping to provide guidance and input on the decisions we needed to make. We felt supported throughout every step and we knew we could rely on Ewan.The final build delivers the open plan space that we envisaged whilst connecting sympathetically it to our Victorian home.We would recommend Ewan and Bright Studio Architects highly.

Bright Studio came highly recommended and we are so pleased that we are under their wing. Planning and subsequent building work can be a daunting process, but not the case with Ewan and Adam, who are with you at all stages and certainly in control.Their professional advice and guidance, alongside their creative ideas, have made our dreams a wonderful reality.

Ewan planned an extension for us, he was great to work with, very friendly and willing to listen to our ideas - I felt comfortable asking for advice even about things outside his strict remit. Our builder was very impressed with the technical drawings and we love the end result!

I completed the RIBA mentorship under Bright Studio which provided a refreshing perspective on architectural practice. It was great to learn about their ethos and building a relationship with a client which I think can often become lost. Adam and Ewan took us to view exciting projects and it was fantastic to see what considerations drove them to specific decisions. The opportunity for such insight was fantastic and it was good to hear from the architects themselves. The other sessions with Adam were also helpful and insightful into the role of a practising architect and it was especially interesting to hear about the different roles Adam would take on within the practise due to the scale. Overall, it was an extremely valuable opportunity and I would highly recommend it to students as well as people looking for a practise that prioritises the client.

I have had the pleasure to be mentored by Adam in my final year of Architecture university and experience professional architectural work through him.The experience is so valuable to me because it reminded me of what small-scale architectural work looks like in practice, and what I want my architectural career to grow into.Overall, the mentorship was a good example of the role of a successful architect, communicating with and linking the client and their wishes with the construction professionals to keep everyone happy and achieve the best results. Adam and Ewan showed these skills in the two site visits I got to join them on.Thank you!

Ewan designed an extension for us with a utility room + WC. Its fits perfectly with the rest of the house - inside and out - and we're very happy with it. Ewan was great to work with - quick, thoughtful and worked above-and-beyond to fit the extension into the small space available for it. Thanks a lot!
