Going with Jamie Thompson Mortgages has been our best move when buying our first house, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. Jamie has been brilliant throughout and has completely taken the stress out of finding a mortgage, whilst ensuring he found us the best mortgage for our situation. Our queries have always been answered quickly and diligently, whilst Jamie has explained everything clearly so we feel assured we have the right mortgage and insurance for us. My partner and I are both PhD students on stipends, and while we wanted to buy our own home, we didn't think it would actually be possible.After finding Jamie online, it took a matter of weeks for us to have a mortgage offer and an offer on a flat accepted.He made the process very easy, even though we are first time buyers without any real prior knowledge of mortgages. He was always there to answer our questions over WhatsApp! We would definitely recommend Jamie to any other PhD students who are considering buying a home.

Jamie was extremely helpful in finding us a mortgage. We had had a lot of difficulty before working with mortgage brokers who didn't understand the nature of a PhD but Jamie clearly knew exactly what would be required in advance and moved quickly when we provided it.He was able to secure us an adequate MIP in time for us to make an offer on our first house, and later was able to get us an even better deal in time to secure it! His advice and professionalism is very appreciated.

Jamie made the whole process of finding a mortgage as a student so easy. I didn't know what my options were while on a student stipend, but Jamie took me through it all step by step and explained everything in plain English so I knew exactly what was happening at every stage of the process. I am delighted with the mortgage offer he got me (which was 10s of thousands more than two other mortgage providers I tried!) and have recommended him to other PhD colleagues since. An easy experience with a friendly guy, couldn't recommend Jamie more!

We have recently been offered a mortgage for our first home after working with Jamie. Prior to speaking to Jamie, we spoke to multiple other brokers who told us we would be unable to borrow what we needed, as I am a PhD student with a bursary salary, and we have high childcare costs for our young daughter. Jamie has been amazing throughout every step of the process, he has answered all of our questions quickly and clearly and has even helped us to arrange our life insurance and solicitors. I would recommend Jamie to anyone and wold definitely use him again!

Jamie has been brilliant throughout the entire process of us receiving our mortgage offer. Myself and my partner are both PhD students receiving stipends, and despite the fact that we were totally resigned to having to wait years to buy a home, within a matter of months Jamie helped us to secure a mortgage offer on a flat that we're both really happy with.Although we were completely unfamiliar to mortgages as FTBs, Jamie made the whole process easy and stress free, and was always happy to answer our questions and queries in a timely manner.
