Good size carpark and convenient for the woods. £5 for the day is good value

The car park is compacted stone. This is a pay car park but there is no machine that takes cash, as it looks as though it has been removed, as there is a metal stump in the ground that has been covered over. This is the same as the car park just a short distance down the road named The Lakes. The payment process has to be done with a mobile phone either by phoning a number, using an app or on the web, which will be a pain if you cant get a mobile signal. There isn't a board giving you the cost of parking or of the times, days and dates in which you have to pay for parking, so you might be paying when there is no real need to. There is a sign with costs £ in The Lakes car park but it doesn't give you any idea of the time periods. It took us nearly half an hour to pay after trying to download the app and trying to get the web page up which is a lot of wasted time.
