Where to start ...ok brought a 2016,brought X6 40D and i thought life was gonna be bliss ,Brought from a garage expecting no worries ...6 Weeks later engine seized...Not knowing who i was gonna get to repair her i looked on google for engine rebuilders ....and in a short space of time i came across these guys in chard 140 miles away i gave them a call and Liam came on the phone i told him what had happened and could he give me a price worse case scenario..£6.5 k actual cost 6k i had been given £5.5k by dealer who sold me the car and i was happy to add the extra knowing im keeping her and happy to pay extra for the best .They came to Birmingham to collect her and after a number of weeks got the call i was hoping for ...Engine all done .....but getting loads of fault codes relating to the dpf which was 80% blocked and glow plugs and everything was showing error codes ...my heart sank as i was desperate to get her back ...im sure Liam had thought i had mugged him off as he wasn't best pleased i hadn't told him about the dpf , i honestly didn't know i had an issue having only owned the car 6 weeks . he told me about the extra work he was gonna have to do glow plugs /module and trying to clean the dpf and i would incur costs for this ...i was more worried i had upset him to be honest and he was gonna make me wait even longer to get her back i was mistaken after massive amounts of work around my dpf ,car was presented to me in immaculate condition ,engine bay and engine looked mint for an engine :-) i payed my money slightly higher than top estimate ,but bear in mind all the extra work that needed to be done as my engine was being choked by blocked dpf . Happy to be back behind the wheel i set off. After having thanked the guys .. i noticed a drive train error my heart sank ..this fault hadn't made its self know to Liam or Arron ,they reset it ...it was a faulty nok sensor issue ..they advised i change it at the earliest op ..and off i went ..50 miles into my journey home Liam called to see how things were going i explained the fault has returned and care wasn't driving great ..he told me the car was in limp mode and i should return so they can remap my car .i did ,they did some more magic and off i set ..driving all the way back home as if my engine had been rebuilt using plastic components lol which was definitely not the case ..they had rebuilt an engine replacing crank ,rods, oil pump ,glow plug module well everything with BMW OEM parts my fears were soon put aside as she had driven a little rough on the motorway ,but having all wheels aligned and good fuel she drives amazing the engine rebuild done by these guys is a work of art the car had hidden issues that now have been eradicated , They could have just let me come home in limp mode and got me to have to incur more cost when back home ,but they called me back and did the work for free after Arron test drove it for the last time he smiled from ear to ear and said she's fixed ..to me that was a statement as important as maybe putting a plaque on my engine rebuildThank you fellas my car has a heart that is bullet proof thanks to you all ,and what you do so well . All of you were amazing. Polite and genuine. Far from the madding crowd you guys choose to stay .Well its only been a few days and my car is driving better by the minute the alignment has smoothed out the ride and that has made a massive difference .am i happy i choose AB Autos ? would i recommend them ? And are they as good as the reviews suggest ? YES ,YES, and its another YES from me . Thanks for giving me a peace of mind that you have done (SHOUT OUT 2 ARRON), I'm 400 miles into running her in (softly), at 2000 miles engine oil change then every 5k .i checked my oil after 250miles still showing 100% (big smile) before she needed a litre every couple of weeks (oil leak somewhere ) I brought a car with many issues so I'm glad my engine did what it did ..if any of you face this unfortunate crisis needing basically a new engine ...send your car here , these are the guys

I'm really impressed with the service provided by AB Autos. Tanzi was brilliant at keeping me in the loop with everything during my engine rebuild. The customer service was fantastic and I was safe in the knowledge that my car was being looked after. The rebuild went brilliantly and I was shown the damaged parts on collection. Just collected my 2013 m5 after having a full engine rebuild at Ab autos due to the pistons seizing and bottom end failure . The engine is now silky smooth , excellent garage and service , knowledgable staff that keep you posted every step of the way , would recommend these guys to anyone who is needing this type of work doing , fast turn around and am over the moon with how my car has come back.

Came in with a bad alternator, Arron the manager swiftly sorted me a quote not the cheapest but really fair price, turned around within a couple days so so greatful was a breathe of fresh air and regained my confidence in car garages!

Brought my M6 down to the lads at AB Auto after reading reviews and luckily finding them online, I had my car at a specialist near where I live in london but wasn’t getting anywhere after waiting for nearly 2 months so I got it recovered to aron diagnosed and quoted and fixed within just a few weeks. Kept me updated throughout the process from start to finish. Just picked up yesterday and its driving like an absolute BEAST of a car. Thanks to Aaron and Liam at AB I would recommend to anyone who has unfortunately encountered the same bottom end failure I have at such allow mileage they know what they are doing!!! I can't express in words how truly grateful I am to the team at AB Autos. The engine on my M5 2014 was completely gone, it sounded HORRIBLE, like a ticking time bomb and i was on the verge of giving up. All advice i was given was to get rid of the car. Then i did a google search and found these guys, called them up and spoke to Aaron and Tanzy and the rest is history. They did a complete engine rebuild and my car is brand new again. It sounds amazing and it drives like its just been taken off a BMW showroom. From start to finish, they have been informative, called to give updates and recommendations, sent pictures and videos and were completely honest and upfront about everything.
