From start to finish the staff at this hospice went above and beyond to make my uncle's last weeks as dignified, and comfortable as possible for him. What an amazing team of people. Thank you so much for everything you did, not only for my uncle, but for us too. I cannot express my gratitude enough. No words will ever be enough to express how wonderful the team on St. Michael's ward have been. Thank you.

Our dear Mum was a patient on St Michael's Ward in early December, where she unfortunately passed away on the 4th December 2022.The staff on St Michael's Ward at St Josephs Hospice went above and beyond to make our Mums last few days as dignified, comfortable and peaceful as they possibly could, I must praise the whole ward staff of St Michael's for being so caring towards our Mum and family. In general all staff that we had the privilege to either speak too or deal with were absolutely fantastic. I thank you so much for everything you did, not only for our Mum, but for us the family too at such a sad time.I cannot express how grateful we are to you all and cannot express our gratitude enough. No words will ever be enough for us to say our thanks fully to the wonderful the team on St Michael's Ward and St Josephs, God bless you all. Thank you.

This is truly a wonderful and uplifting place. The staff are amazing. I would like to thank them all for the way they looked after my darling mum over the years with day centres, to respite and then her last days. It was so comforting, they were amazing the way they cared for her, the way they allowed our family to be with her especially at the final moments, which was very very special to us. Thank you St Joseph's you will forever be in our thoughts and prayers.

The older lady at reception suprised me when she was hesitant to allow me to go through because of the time when we had been advised it was 24 hours and considering the situation of losing a parent she showed no empathy and made my initial experience traumatic.Aside from her all other staff were friendly.

Telephone helpline not always managed by sympathetic nurses unfortunately. I am left traumatised by my experience and I am end of life care now.

Very supportive, caring to others, helping all patience, clean and tidy and all doctors and nurse were very nice and do their jobs right unlike Newham University Hospital who have excuses not to go, St Joseph Hospice they do not hesitate to visit homes even on the COVID-19 Restrictions (they wear face mask), also includes education/training, mass/church, gym, social carer/bereavement social club (offer tea or coffee - refreshment for counselling and group support) and many more.very highly recommended

I had just gone into the facility to see if i could take a look because we were told by the palliative care nurse at the hospital that we could to make sure we chose the right place for my nan's end of life care.I was met with a older lady at reception who first of all was quiet abrupt on the phone when I was asking where the reception was and when i arrived she showed no compassion or empathy for the situation at hand.I explained we were given a small window to check the facilities so we can sort referal to transfer my nan here. She started our conversation with we do ask for appointments because there is no staff on weekends and she cant leave her desk. The way she answered my questions she made me feel quiet stressed about the whole process and i nearly broke down at the reception. She had no feeling in her voice and she just sounded very blazey about everything.I left with a bitter taste in my mouth and made to feel that my nana would not get the best care at this hospice

No words can explain how grateful my family and I are to all the staff at St Joseph’s. The care and respect my Nan received during her final 2 days were unbelievable! They truly are angels and we can’t thank them enough! St Joseph’s will always hold a special place in our hearts and we are forever grateful xxxx

A great facility in East London, which is well maintained and has some good people working here, looking after our loved ones in their final days.
