Beautiful little cove! Not the biggest beach so I imagine it gets quite full in the summer but yesterday was plenty of space to relax and build sand castles. With the wind a certain way it creates some huge waves! These were great to see! Nice little cafe for food too. Parking you have to pay for but that's for a good cause.

Poldhu Cove
A beautiful cove. Nice big car park next to it, cafe, lifeguarded and surf school ( not that we tried). Looked a great spot to learn. Sandy beach with nice freshwater stream running into it that was lots of fun for the little ones (and dogs). Dogs allowed from 1 September. Coastal path over the hill to next beach about half a mile ( if you don’t mind a climb).

Lovely sandy beach, great for surfing and sandcastles.Paid carparking next to beach, can get full so choose quite times if you can. Small cafe selling basic drinks and quite limited food.Surfing lessons offered here for kids and adults but I never tried it.Toilets available in the car park so overall great beach for the family.

Car park is a bit uneven, a few potholes. Main toilets close but there are temporally some in the car park, could not find where to hand wash. We walked to Church Cove . Nice walk along cliff paths.

We have been visiting Poldhu Cove for years. Every September, when we visit Cornwall for two weeks. We especially go there for our morning coffee, sometimes a snack, from the excellent coffee shop. We then sit, watch the waves & chill. Great start to everyone's day!

Poldhu Beach is a lovely little sandy cove surrounded on both sides by cliffs . There is a small stream that runs down the beach through a rocky crop to the sea. There is a car park opposite the road with very reasonable fees that leads to the beach with a small climb past a closed toilet block (although there are portaloos in the car park - I assume they are either being fixed up or removed)At the top of the beach there is the surfing school and a small cafe that serves hot food and drinks as well as a coastguard station. It’s a beautiful place.
