I am leaving this review after several visits as i often find prepared food can be hit or miss. These guys seem very consistent. Fischotheque are the best fish and chip shop that I have come across in London. We live local and prefer this to Masters Superfish which is the main alternative nearby. Big portions that leave you satisfied - which for London is a pleasant change. Nice thick fillets of fish with crispy batter. Chips are top notch too. Food is well cooked and not oily. A great choice for the local and tourist alike.

This place is conveniently located opposite Waterloo Station. Once inside you know not of the busy Waterloo road. So peaceful.The fish are nice and fresh. I highly recommend the grilled Seabass. Unfortunately for my Hot fish platter the batter had a burnt taste probably from the oil but other than that all was good.

Already had my lunch. But still wanted to try this fish and chips. Hence I ordered a take away with just the fish. Staff recommended cod fish. Excellent choice. Best fried fish ever for me. 5 stars.

I came from Germany and the food was really delicious and for a good price too. The location is two minutes away from London eye. Really nice interior perfect to have a calm lunch

The best fish and chips I tried in my entire life, def recommended if you in London.I tried the cod & calamari rings and both were heavenly cooked, they are crispy from the outside and perfectly cooked from the inside. Even the chips were awesome and felt like they were made at home

Nice place with really polite people and most amazing fish and chips. The foot was great, the staff as well and the atmosphere was nice and but a little funky and old looking. Nevertheless the experience was amazing and I would recommend anyone going there.

They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to make our dining experience memorable.Now, let's talk about the main attraction - the fish and chips. The fish was not only perfectly seasoned but also cooked to absolute perfection. The crispy, golden batter encased tender, flaky fish that was a delight to the taste buds. It's clear that the chef takes great pride in their craft.We also tried the seabass, and I was absolutely blown away. The seabass was cooked to perfection, with a delicate balance of flavors that left me craving for more.Highly recommended, your taste buds will thank you!

Best fish and chips in London! The place js small, but very well decorated in a vintage way. The fish is delicious, I recommend the cod. Michael was very nice to us! Don't miss this place when you go to London! It's easily reached going out from Waterloo Station, look for the Waterloo Road Exit.

I was a fan of The Jazz Butcher's Fishcoteque album, so it was a special experience to go to the Fishcoteque restaurant. The promise - London's No.1. Traditional Fish & Chips - is fulfilled, it really is the best: flavours, quantity, location, service. And Michael - well, he really is the best!
