Cafe Jazz

We are a group of 10 plus that go every thursday. They have a varied menu and it is competitively priced. The staff are so lovely, nothing is to much trouble for them. They make us feel important. The food is excellent and is always beautifully presented wether it be roast dinner or a plate of sandwiches. Claire and Matt go above and beyond for the customers. Love it there.

Straight forward menu, not exciting or particularly unique, but the food was absolutely excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive and the value for money was brilliant. The live jazz was really good too. All in all, I would definitely go again. I really enjoyed my visit.

This place is incredible!!! Arrived on a Saturday night when no one else would let us in, and stayed because it was so awesome!!! Cheap drinks & great music & awesome atmosphere!!!! Thank you Cafe Jazz! You made Cardiff amazing!!!

Awesome place to watch live jazz or blues! It's a small, cozy pub/restaurant, which good food and decent prices. Everyone is super friendly and the bands are varied. I have always had a great time here... There's no better feeling than to sip a beer while listening to a great tune!

I'm making a complaint about my booking last night at 8.30pm for 10 people due to the following reasons:-Music being too loud prior to 10pm when this is still a good social hour and plenty of people in the Restaurant like myself trying to enjoy my meal and chat to several of my family members-We had to speak to a young guy who could control the music to a point , he asked the DJ to turn it down for around 30 minutes which did happen / your background music was also too loud and was turned down also-The band started warming up a lot earlier than I thought as when making this booking I wanted to know when your live music starts and I was advised around 10pm yet the band was doing checks around 9.10pm which I thought was not good as myself and other people were trying to have a chat with our family and friends-My Aunty's meal was wrong , she ordered the sweet and sour pork and got sweet and sour chicken , she did enjoy her meal yet was disappointed the waiter didn't get it correct as it was the same staff member as above and wasn't in training or new to Hospitality - I know we are all human and get things wrong at times yet I didn't expect this errorMost of my family members enjoyed there meals and the waiter did provide 10% off to us which we did appreciate yet all of us were annoyed at the fact that such a small venue had music so loud playing before 10pm and we left your venue once finishing our main meals and drinks as we didn't want to order dessert / hot drinks due to the music.I hope that you can look into your volume of music because this is a major off put for people when they are attending your venue at a standard social hour and just want to relax as most of the night I felt I was shouting to my family and the waiter and could see other people were too!

A lovely little venue with a refined, jazz-loving clientele. The band that were playing on the night that me and my friends went there were great, and got us dancing...

Love this place and have frequented many times over the years! Great chef if you fancy one of his mouthwatering meals while listening to a variety of jazz and blues. Bring your own wine for £2 corkage is an absolute deal!

My wife and I went there last night. We took the £16 special three courses meal plus a drink meal deal. We have enjoyed a memorial night out. The food was excellent although the dessert was just so so. But the live Jazz performance was really enjoyable, my wife liked the female vocal singer very much. Don't be put off by the looking from outside, go in take a meal and avoid paying the £6 entrance fee. Enjoy
