Appalling customer service, 1 desk in operation out of 3, all 3 sat at by staff. No urgency by anyone to clear the queue of 25+ people. If I ran my business like this I wouldn't have one.

I had an appointment on Friday at 11am to sort some money out. A young man rang and said only booked me on for 45 mins and needed an hour explained just wanted to do the 12 month saving account. He said just do on internet brilliant service I think not. Going to Leeds building society now in morning to move my money out of Halifax if they cannot be bothered neither can I. !!!!!!

No longer just a bank, it promotes gender politics, but only when a pride event is on nearby pandering for more business.

If you're looking for a reliable banking experience, the Halifax Bank is definitely worth checking out. Of the two branches in town, this one is definitely the better one. With a variety of ATMs available, you'll never have to wait too long to access your money. The staff here are always friendly and willing to help with any queries you might have. They're knowledgeable about their products and services, and can offer useful advice and support to customers. One minor downside to this branch is that there's often a homeless person sitting outside, which can be a little uncomfortable. However, this shouldn't detract from the overall quality of the bank itself. If you're in the area and looking for a reliable banking option, the Halifax Bank is definitely worth a visit.

Me and my wife have just in the past 20 min been to Halifax bank woolshops and the experience of arguments between staff behind counter and people waiting to be seen, incident took place because the young lady who was maybe towards the end of her shift almost took 2 to three minutes talking to her colleague and basically, in my understanding and observation there was some time killing and that I don’t mind if you are minutes away you don’t want to see the next costumer, but there is something seriously wrong in the thought if you are stopping your colleagues from stopping to see the waiting costumer, enough said now leave it to Halifax do check in to this particular incident and decide if there staff need retraining the incident took place 24/09/22 at about 13:57

Been in today, Saturday lunchtime and find only 1 counter on! Long queue of people waiting!Last time I visited on a Saturday 3 weeks ago only 1 counter on with a queue out the door. With all the branch closures going on you would think the ‘flagship’ branch of the HALIFAX in Halifax would have some counter staff on. Is this bank purposefully trying to get rid of customers, you can hear the discontent in the queue. This is Saturday afternoon for gods sake. At maximum there are only 3 counters in this branch, all 3 should be staffed, that should be a given. Whose idea was it to have just 3 counters? It’s a very busy bank. This bank is an embarrassment to itself and the town, I feel sorry for the staff who look like they have given up. I have banked with the Halifax for 35 years and can honestly say the standard of service is appalling, but what do they care, I can just go somewhere else, somewhere smaller, with better interest rates who actually have some staff on to serve customers not just walking around doing nothing! The branch in Todmorden, much smaller, better organised, always have 2 counters on and it’s closing this month! In short train some staff, pay your staff with the billions of profit you make and stop trying to do things on a shoestring. What sort of second rate service does this bank offer it’s customer’s, total joke.

A simple request to see if I could draw momey from the Halifax in £50 notes fir a large amount was paibful to say the least. I was told to make a referal and I would be cintacted in 2 days. Time passed and no phone call. My request had not been recorded. I rang the Halifax again asking them to make a referal and ring me back. Guess what, no call back. When I rang the Halifax again they had recorded some details but for the wrong town. Informing them again I was on a tight deadline I was told to to branch as it shuts at 8pm. Don't think so, no branch stays open that late. They have no clue about anything.Update, managed to arrange a supposed collection at Branch in Bradford. When I turned up they knew nothing about my order. What was supposed to be something simple and easy turned out to be long and drawn out.22.03.23
