The engineer was professional and paid great attention to detail. He left our Aga clean, tidy and running better than ever.100% recommended.

Started off well, but turned out to be a very unsatisfactory service which cost hundreds of pounds (check out the hourly labour rate!) without resolving the reoccuring problem. It took another engineer to come and solve the basic problem having paid Dalen Services not to fix it despite repeated calls and visits. Disappointing and not the service I expected.

Steve and his colleagues removed a very old and stubborn Aga for us today. It was a big job that took 3 men the majority of the day to remove. They all worked extremely hard, were clean and tidy and informative throughout. I certainly felt I got value for money and would highly recommend.

We have ab^n AGa which Dalen had previously services. The Aga started to lose heat so we called them to repair. They turned up, told us that we should have switched off the Aga (this was NOT made clear when we booked the appointment), then charged us a £125 call out fee and were not prepared to acknowledge any responsibility for not having instructed us what to do in advance. We will not be using them again.

Dalen attended to service our Aga and boiler. Identified an issue with the water boiler jacket on the Aga which required removal. They fitted this work in ASAP a very professional service by staff who prompt polite and hard working who clearly understand Aga cookers. The Aga now works better than it has done for years. We have given a five star review to this Company however, if ten stars were available we would have no hesitation in giving them.Our elderly Rayburn developed a fault, we found an engineer who spent many hours attempting to repair the Rayburn without success. On the 22nd Dec in desperation we contacted Dalen Services explaining our sad situation; Steve listened then said he would see if he could help but he couldn’t promise anything. To our relief we received a call to say that he had managed to organise an engineer who would be with us on the 23rd.As promised Olly turned up and started work, after several hours things looked terminal but Olly said he would be back the next dat (Christmas Eve). Sure enough at 10:00am Olly was back and got to work, 2 hours later Ray was back to life, we have heating and hot water.We cannot thank Steve and Olly enough for going the extra mile for us.We cannot fault the Company’s work ethic, customer care, commitment and sheer doggedness to get to the bottom of our problem and solving it.Thank you,Peter and Annie

The engineer who came to service our Rayburn was excellent, leaving our Rayburn running smoothly and quieter than ever before, and our kitchen looking exactly as we left it.

Brilliant organisation. We have been having problems with our very old converted oil aga and many had/have tried and failed to get it back working again. Not quite superman /wonder women but the Dalen Engineer certainly came to our rescue. On time, polite, professional and comprehensive. We will not be going elsewhere from now on. Thank you.

After 4 visits by another independent Aga engineer, who did expensive work but still couldn’t get our oil Aga working, I was grateful to Dalen for sending someone as soon as they were able. A very personable engineer worked meticulously to restore the Aga, leaving the working area immaculate. He also explained patiently what was wrong, what he was doing to put things right and what to look out for in the future. We also had advice on the phone before the visit and follow-up support to ensure all was continuing to work well. Dalen offers a one month free call-back which suggests they have confidence in their engineers: ours was well-informed and clearly had both very good training and experience. I’ve used this company twice. Both times despite being a bit speech impaired they have always been understanding when I have phoned.Their name is perhaps slightly limiting; they do more than cookers! I had my chimney swept and my oil boiler repaired and serviced today.They correctly worked out the chimney (boiler flue) needed sweeping and their sweep attended the same morning before their OFTEC boiler engineer.After some rigorous cleaning and getting it going, the boiler engineer took the time to explain the problem, and a few other minor issues. All seemed quite reasonable and logical to me.Considering the work done, parts used, and the time consumed doing the work, the bill was very reasonable.They left OFTEC and National chimney sweep paperwork. The forms were filled in with neat legible handwriting.Overall professional job.
