Nicki Reg

Nicki has been absolutely amazing! I have been with Nicki for about 18 months and we worked on building up a GCSE equivalent portfolio. (Being home educated, it was difficult to gain a GCSE in art.) From the very start Nicki has been amazing encouraging me to be independent in exploring areas that inspired me and to make my own decisions regarding my artwork. She encouraged me to ask questions and analyse my work closely. I’ve learnt so many new techniques and have explored loads of different mediums including: watercolours, gouache, pencils, acrylics, and fine liners. My skill has improved phenomenally thanks to Nicki and I have reached new levels in my art. She has been incredibly flexible working around our situation too. I started off by going to her studio for lessons (which is an amazing space), however, when we relocated to another area, I was no longer able to go to the studio, so Nicki moved online using Zoom to help me finish my projects. This was absolutely wonderful since it has been such a struggle in the past to find art tutors and Nicki is the best by far. I'm so happy we found Nicki to help our 16-year-old daughter Emma prepare an art portfolio for her college application during 1:1 sessions. Nicki did an amazing job. She taught Emma a range of different skills, including lino printing, acrylic painting and colour theory. Emma really enjoyed the sessions due to the relaxed atmosphere and great learning opportunities. Nicki encouraged her to let go of perfection and enjoy the creative process. The sessions have significantly enhanced her enjoyment of art and her confidence in her abilities.

Nicki boosts confidence, teaches from a wealth of experience and nurtures talent. My children are thriving under her expert tuition and learning different techniques each week, and always come out with incredible artwork and a big smile! We couldn’t be happier!

Nicki created the most beautiful goldfinch picture for my parents golden wedding anniversary. Throughout the time the picture was being created Nicki keep my informed and gave me choices of composition and colours. I couldn’t of been more thrilled with the picture and my parents were over the moon. Thank you

I have been going since I was 5.We get to be in an amazing studio.I use mediums that we don't use at school.Mrs Redgewell is really kind.She helps me with my art.My art has got way better.I meet loads of new people.My art goes in a frame on the wall at home.By Freddie, age 9.
