Initially London is my go-to for inspired personalised gifts bringing the US love of monogramming to Britain with both flair & sustainable values. I can’t recommend their endlessly inventive website enough.

We had a great experience personalising gifts for a special occasion with Initially London. From the moment we entered the store, we knew our project was in the right hands. Special thanks go to Ms Jane Wiest, who took the time to help us through the entire process: from finalising the monogram, to picking the string colours, sourcing the organic cotton drawstring bags (to place our customised gifts in) and delivering everything to our doorsteps within just a few days! The end product was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t be happier and are very grateful to IL!!!

The basket bags arrived on time, beautifully packed and wrapped and superbly embroidered. I had a slight problem with one of the basket bags. They responded immediately and went out of their way to resolve the issue. Hugely efficient, positive, friendly and impressive personal customer service. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend. Thank you very much Initially London.

Unfortunately a great jumper ruined by a bad job on embroidery by Initially London (see photos). Refund refused for poor quality of work.

As you will see from my review, I am a dedicated shopper at Initially London.Every thing I order, and I order a lot, is done to a very high standard and they’re fabulous at giving colour inspiration or matching if you need inspiration.Items I’ve had monogrammed and loved: - the Ibiza clutch- st clement wash bag- Salcombe wash bag- Pimlico wash bag- Lambeth Pouch- Pimlico hold all- Balham hold all- kids Leighton robe- yoga mats/blocks- insulated bottlesI could go on….. Most of my purchases have been for presents, but many are for my own personal use.Additionally, I’ve recommended Initally London to friends and small businesses who’ve become repeat customers which I believe to be the greatest compliment to a business.I am not affiliated in any way to Initially London, am just delighted to support such a great small business.

Ok, so this will be a long review - if anyone has any doubt about this company, contact me and I’ll provide a detailed PDF with proof that supports this review (and legal action). See attached photos as evidence of the quality of embroidery delivered.After many attempts to communicate the issues and after seeing an incorrect example of work due to be applied to one of my garments, I had to ask for proof of approval before any work commenced to ensure everything would be completed as briefed. Not only was I was charged for the photos taken for this (and they were not even provided for all of the items) and having agreed this process - Jane (the owner) continued with the work anyway, before I approved or fed back on the proofs that were provided.I managed to stop the work after a quarter of my garments were embroidered and unfortunately the quality of this embroidery work was terrible (see photos). I tried to resolve things, but Jane wouldn’t even respond except to say “I'll have everything ready for you to take with you”.On top of all of this, I was over-charged for work that has not been done despite providing an exact breakdown (again, I can provide copies of all communications/proof).Initially London has ruined great quality garments and wouldn’t even respond to my questions and points provided in response to this whole issue. Aside from an email from Jane saying she'll explain when I have a bit more time to respond to your lengthy note'

Some amazing personalised gift ideas. I visited the studio with my little dog Rex to get his barbour jacket customised. They were so welcoming with Rex and the little child I had. They took me though the process and helped me to choose the colour thread for the monogramming on his jacket. It was a really lovely experience and I then went on to get myself a bag and a wash bag for my partner customised too. Really enjoyed supporting a small local business like Initially London. High recommend them for personalised gifts and homeware.

I loved designing the custom embroidery for some items I took in. They were so helpful in the office, showing me possible fonts that would work well and placement on the items.It was a really fun process and I was extremely happy with the end results, which were done very quickly too! They've created items that I'll really cherish for as long as they last :)
