Blackburn Jobcentre

This place is an absolute joke recently visited to hand in a fit note as directed by a member of staff on the phone when I arrived was rudely told they couldn't help me on the first floor and to go upstairs after struggling up the stairs I approached a desk and asked a member of staff for help photocopying my sick note and was asked if I had an appointment for this are they couldn't help which left me not been paid on time.

The most disorganized and useless staff ever. You give your name and they don't even know who you are seeing. They change your advisors evetime. This place needs closing, it serves no purpose.

2 minute walk from the Blackburn bus station.There are a couple of disabled parking spaces around the corner from the main entrance.Good wheelchair access.Very helpful staff.

There was an issue with my universal credit claim. The team contacted me straight away by journal and dealt with the problem efficiently and professionally.

Went to the Blackburn Penny Street Jobcentre today. Linda Dixon on the ground floor was very rude with myself and my wife for the whole time we were there. We have always tried to be open and honest, and we didn't deserve to be spoken to like we were something off her shoe. I tried to complain to DWP over the phone, but they said it is best to complain to the Blackburn Jobcentre's HEO (Higher Executive Officer). If Linda had a bad experience with someone else, she shouldn't have taken it out on us. I have mental health problems, and somebody working at the Jobcentre should understand that their behaviour and attitude can really impact someone like me who is ultra sensitive at the moment, due to my mental health concerns. Linda's face wouldn't require a Halloween mask tomorrow.

Racist lady on the front door let in all her chosen people...when I asked why is it the whites have to wait outside she said I think so? I had to wait outside here

I signed on for 13 weeks for the first time. The staff were really friendly, polite and helpful in helping me get a job. Since I lacked experience in the work place they help put me into work placements. By the end of the second work placement I landed an apprenticeship. It through the support that the Jobcentre provided that i got this opportunity.
