About the Business

HOME - The Seven Dials Trust, Covent Garden, London | Seven Dials Covent Garden is a unique quarter of London whose star-shaped layout remains as constructed in the early 1690s. By 1974 the Seven Dials area was in a state of dereliction. It was brought back to life largely through the dedication of the Seven Dials Trust, working in partnership with the local authorities and landowners for nearly forty years.

If you're American and never experienced walkable neighborhoods and positive pedestrian experiences, take a wander around here, every little street is full of interesting shops and restaurants.

Functional mini traffic/pedestrian circus where 7 narrow streets radiate from 'The Dial' hub the animated core of this evocative and atmospheric quarter. Here the residue of the past and the bustle of the present embrace.Self-contained and evocative precinct exuding a distinctive ambience - the essence should be trademarked, bottled and sold as “Essential London.”

The Seven Dials Pillar is a lovely piece of history that was recreated by the Trust in 1989. It has 7 sun dials at its peak. The area is lovely, and feels olde worlde but also surrounded by some of the latest happenings in London. The Seven Dials area has a lot of the latest London shows along with masses of eateries to choose from.Close to Covent Garden and Leicester Square, it’s well worth a visit.

We were watching Harry Potter at the Palace across and popped over to see the lights. It is a lovely walk with some good shops and eateries, such as sushi and hotdogs. There is a also a nice gallery where you can get some decent prints. There is a beautiful fountain with lights, as well as some great shopping such as Neil’s cheeses.

Fantastic historical location with a good selection of coffee shops. Be sure to stop off at the dial and enjoy a drink whilst reading about the history!
