Gem of a shop! Wonderful selection well beyond the normal choices and reasonably priced, with good recommendations. Will definitely be returning next time I'm in the area!Update - I now go out of my way to pop by and pick a selection of cheese every time I'm passing. Always something different, all the staff are so knowledgeable in helping you select cheese to your palate.

We consulted with Hope to do a tasting for a cheese tower for our wedding and it's one of the best decisions we made. We love our savoury food and the final stack was very well received by us and our guests. All the cheeses we chose were delicious! Communication was friendly and clear, and we were also very pleased with the delivery and set up of the cheese tower, along with tasty chutney accompaniments. Would definitely return again in the future to try more products. Hugely recommend!

Visited for a cheese board and wine for my grandads 85th birthday. Excellent as always.EDIT: We are so pleased with everything that my brother has ordered his cheese stack for his wedding here and my sister will be doing the same once she's sorted dates. superb wee shop with a great variety of incredible cheeses..!

My wife and I ordered a wedding cake through the Cheese Plate, at relatively short notice. The Cheese Plate appealed to us due to its proximity to our venue, but also owing to the fantastic photos we'd seen online. Within days of enquiring we had a call with Hope to talk through our requirements, and the following week were able to visit the shop to taste the cheese and talk through more specific details. Hope was beyond fantastic throughout: friendly, knowledgeable, and couldn't do enough to help us. The prices were extremely reasonable, and far cheaper than other, larger, suppliers who were offering a less bespoke service. Hope not only provided a wonderful selection of cheese for our 6-tier cake (which went down a storm with our guests!), but brought it to our venue, set up the cake before our evening reception in plenty of time, provided instructions on cutting up the cheese to our caterers, and provided information on each of the cheese on little cards for our guests. Her attention to detail was second to none and the final product was breathtaking. Thank you so much Hope - we will definitely be back to the shop in the future (once we've eaten our way through the leftovers!)

The best cheese around. We take a 90 minute round trip here every few months because the cheese is so amazing.We got our wedding cheeses here and all our guests remarked on how good they were. They had great suggestions for a range of cheeses, suitable crackers and jellies to go with. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Would highly recommend the Cheese Plate for anybody looking to incorporate a cheese stack into their wedding plans. From a fun and informal tasting session to seamless delivery, and of course, magnificent cheese, the service we received was excellent. Thanks Hope and co.

Been here a couple of times for private and public cheese tastings. Always a great night out. Toby is knowledgeable and entertaining. Ask him to put on his Dog mask. The ice cider is divine.

Very impressed with the selection of cheese. Been a couple of times recently and asked the owner to recommend a selection of cheeses for us which were all delicious.

Thank you so much for such a lovely cheese selection! I ordered a 6-8 mixed platter to go with a wine tasting party for 15 guests this weekend. The platter was so delicious, loved by all and so generous that we even still have some cheese left over! Really appreciate your service :)
