Paul is a fantastic tutor and words cannot adequately describe just how much he has helped me. One thing that sets Paul apart from other tutors, in my opinion, is his versatility and flexibility. Paul can teach Mathematics, Chemistry AND Biology all the way to A-Level (and I believe undergraduate as well) standard (and according to any exam board!) and is willing to drive great distances to teach you in the comfort of your own residence.He can also adjust his teachings to go off of the textbooks/resources that the student's school/university recommends or the ones that the student feels comfortable learning from, which in my experience is rare for a tutor to be willing to do.Paul's teaching methods are equally as superb. He has the best theory/exam practice balance of any tutor that I have been taught by. His approach is also pragmatic and ensures that, once the theory is understood, he dives promptly into exam questions, ensuring a very efficient session. Due to this, students can learn exactly which concepts must be mastered for the exam but also, more importantly (especially in Biology!), the precise words to use to get the marks in the exam.Paul's teaching also goes beyond the lessons as he will set and mark past papers. The past papers are marked and turned around very quickly, and he will spend a session going through which mistakes were made in the paper and how to ensure the same mistake is not made again. These are the most useful sessions and if students engage with these sessions in particular (e.g., by creating Q&A flashcards of incorrect past paper questions), they can expect their grades to skyrocket and improve significantly. He is also patient with his students but not complacent, he is extremely adept at identifying if a student is not putting in the required effort and can effectively motivate them to put in the work that they must if they desire good grades.Personally, I was taught by Paul for around seven months: ~1 month whilst in college and then for ~6 months whilst in remote learning. During the latter period he essentially took the full onus of my education and I saw him for 1 hour every day. I was not disappointed at all, and he provided a far better and more focused approach to my education than my college. He also aided me pastorally by providing methods and techniques to remain focused whilst learning remotely. I ended up going from CCC grades in Biology, Chemistry and Maths respectively to A*AA grades with his intervention.Overall, I would recommend Paul to any student of any age who might be struggling academically without hesitation. He almost single-handedly ensured that I received a quality education in the latter half of my Year 13 and I couldn't have got the grades that I did without him. His rates are also fantastic for the results that they produce.

Paul was able to work within a tight timeframe and adapt my son's learning to the focus on the key topics to get him over the line, was willing to travel, f2f and online appointments and easy to talk to. Highly recommend , happy parent and happy passed GCSE Maths Student!:-)

Paul was an amazing tutor and made the lessons good fun while also ensuring I was working hard. Never a boring moment with him. He led me to pass maths in such a short period of time. Couldn’t recommend enough!!!

Paul is an excellent tutor. He is thoughtful, calm, kind and very systematic in his approach. Our son found GCSE Maths difficult and would avoid revising it at all costs. He soon realised that with Paul he was doing constructive work and was improving and it made a huge difference to him. Paul also went through Maths for the 3 sciences too and an overview of difficult areas which was very useful too. Paul really wants to help your child to succeed and the fact that he came to our house was a real bonus. We are really grateful to him for his help.I have already recommended him to some friends as from what I saw he really thinks about what will help your particular child and help them the most.

Outstanding tutor! Paul worked with my son who was struggling to catch up on work missed in Y6. Within weeks he was back on track in maths and his confidence grew so much it was commented on by his teacher at school. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone, in fact I regularly do and all my friends are equally enthusiastic about the positive impact he has had on their children.

Paul was the best tutor that I could have asked for! He helped me all the way from GCSES to A Levels. He was one of the main reasons I got into University and he is still helping me today.

Paul has been wonderful in supporting my daughter with both Maths and Science. He has been meticulous about understanding her strengths, weaknesses and knowledge gaps to help her to achieve her potential. His calm, clear style is highly effective and, as a result, her knowledge, expertise, confidence and self belief have grown enormously.

Paul was flexible and dependable in terms of lessons and rearranged my lessons multiple times when I couldn't make it or missed one. On top of this, Paul had any and every resource available, all of which he made himself and provided me with to aid with A-level revision. Most importantly, Paul listened carefully to my needs and pinpointed the areas where I was weakest, teaching content and helping with questions where necessary. I can't recommend Paul enough.
