Llandaf weir’s a nice spot along the Taff Trail, just south of Hailey Park. Lots of wildlife here and you can hear the sound of the rushing water before you can see it. It reminds you just how strong the current is in the Taff and to be mindful of that. You can also get views of the weir from Llandaf meadows (behind the Cathedral) and Llandaf rowing club (both are the other side of the river).

On a slight bend in the river. The boat club lies above it and the wild part of the Taff below. The islands, and pools below are teaming with life.

Amazing. The recent heavy rainfall mea t that we witnessed the weir in its full glory. It was fast flowing and absolutely fantastic. Loved it! Be sure to visit after heavy rainfall to realise its full potential and power.
