Sian and her team are always very friendly and accommodating - we've had numerous alterations for various items and have always been sew impressed by the efficiency and quality of their work. The shop is delightfully cosy and welcoming, with enticing displays of yarns and accessories. Darn Knit brightens up Mill Street - highly recommended!

Wonderful shop and excellent customer service. Having started crochet for the first time, I was directed to all the tools and wool I needed to complete my project…even receiving some guidance too! Fantastic experience and I will definitely be coming back for my next crafting project!

Sian is a brilliant teacher - calm and patient, whilst being very clear about each step. I managed to pick up both crochet and knitting with just one session on each with her and now I have a skill for life. Service in the shop was brilliant - very friendly and we managed to pick out the perfect wool for me. Everything is personalised and I loved my experience. I'll be back for more!

Visited this lovely shop while in England staying with family and I could have spent ages in there! Floor to ceiling with yarns, sequins, embellishments, buttons, patterns, needles- everything you could need. There lady was extremely helpful, making sure I got want I wanted, checked I was happy with the pattern I chose, advised upon the best wool. Very happy with my visit when purchases. Would definitely recommend.

I used Darn Knits for an alteration of a dress I wanted to wear to a wedding. The ladies were able to turn it around in extra quick time and the finished product was amazing. You couldn’t tell it had been altered and the fit was perfect. I will definitely be using them again!

Always impeccable service from each individual member of staff. Siân is a fabulous owner and immensely knowledgeable. She’s forgotten more about sewing than most people could ever learn in a lifetime. I’ve bought hundreds of pounds worth of notions from this shop as well as having a few small alterations made too and I’ve never been left wanting. Shops like this are the lifeblood of our town and if people don’t use them and respect the expertise of those running them, then sadly we’re doomed to a miserable future.

I was delighted with alterations to two items before Christmas. Sian was incredibly helpful in turning them around for an award ceremony and I was very grateful to her. I wouldn't hesitate in utilising her services again (in fact, I aim to do just that in the next month). PS Wonderful selection of ribbons available at a great price too. Thank you Darn Knit.

Fantastic shop packed full of a wonderful array of yarns and patterns. The staff are extremely passionate about the work they do, both the alterations and the knitting/crocheting. They have all the professional machines to be able to complete all manner of complicated and creative alterations combined with the skills and experience to provide an amazing personal service. Highly recommended.
