Ian came over today to see our cat and was absolutely amazing. Our cat finds car rides and vet offices incredibly stressful so having someone come and do it all in the house was so much better for her. He was very kind and gentle with her during his visit and although she needed injections he was able to do them quickly and she was then able to find a place she felt safe rather than being put into a cat basket and back into the car for another stressful journey home. Highly recommend McKelvie mobile vet!

Our beloved cat Schumi had been with us since 8 weeks old and at the grand age of 20, his life was coming to the end of its journey due to kidney failure.Ian came to the house and was superb. We had chosen to say our goodbyes out in the garden and we lay with Schumi as Ian very gently sedated him, checked his vitals and once he was deeply asleep, he performed the necessary euthanasia. There was no rush, he gave us all the time we needed and quietly let himself out whilst we grieved together as a family. It could not have been a more peaceful way for our beloved boy to go, in the comfort of his own home surrounded by family, and we are so grateful for that.A few days later, Ian and his lovely wife delivered a beautiful card and wildflower seeds to plant in Schumi's memory.It was a small gesture but filled with so much empathy and thoughtfulness and we were so touched at the follow up care.Ian has also attended to both our kittens and was very knowledgeable about their care and needs. He spent plenty of time getting to know us and our pets.Ian came highly recommended from several of our friends and neighbours and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him too.

Hugely grateful for the help we’ve had from McKelvie mobile vet. Our cat Nolan was distressed and in a lot of pain which meant transporting him was not an option. I called Ian who responded so so quickly and was able to treat Nolan at home. Ian showed both us and the cats so much kindness and consideration which made us all feel at ease through treatment & recovery. Highly recommend McKelvie mobile vet!! :)

Ian is a fantastic colleague. We used to work together on many occasions. His professionalism and expertise is second to none. His friendly approach always puts the clients and his patients on ease, which is vitally important when we see companion animals with certain conditions. If you are looking for a vet, who cares about your pet at the highest standard, we highly recommend Ian and his professional service.

We cannot recommend Ian enough for what he did for our little Ben, after a road accident.His calm and caring skills were second to none as he tended to his wounds, also informing us of what he was doing at every stage of his treatment, which under the circumstances was amazing. His after care was also very much appreciated when he came to check on Ben's needs at home, to make sure all was okHe not only looked after Ben, but also myself and my son who were understandably a little shaken up by the whole experience, for this we are truly grateful and cannot thank you enough❤️

I love using McKelvie Mobile Vet. Their service is the perfect option for me as my dog has motion sickness.Ian is very good with all my animals and puts them at ease very quickly. Not having to take them away from home is not only more convenient but also less stressful for both myself and my pets.I was also pleasantly surprised that the cost of visits is no more expensive than what the other vets charge and probably works out cheaper because you don’t have the travel costs.Would definitely recommend to anybody.

I am glad to find a vet who can come to my home. Had two visits from Ian to check out my female cat and was impressed by his approach which was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He has given me confidence in working with Tabitha a street cat whom I adopted. Feel happy knowing Ian will be there for future treatments. Ian was great. Fabulously calm and relaxed with our two fluffy girls. Never has getting our cats vaccinated been so easy and stress free. What an absolute joy for us all, not having the trauma of manhandling reluctant furballs into cat boxes and worse still, trying to concentrate on driving two yowling beasties 25 minutes to the nearest vet surgery. An excellent service Good for pets and owners!

Over the last year we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our 2 beloved dogs, Saffy & Tansy, both of whom were with us for over 15 years and were a big part of our lives. On both occasions Ian has been by our side during this difficult time and when we recently said goodbye to Tansy, Ian’s thoughtfulness toward both us and our precious girl made our final moments with her calm, peaceful and dignified. Ian gave us all the time and privacy we needed with our girl and I cannot thank him enough for making the journey more bearable.

Wonderful, knowledgable Vet, very caring. Animals are very relaxed when he in attendance, extremely homely Vet. Has helped my very old boy turned 15y with his age problems, bling and Alzheimer’s giving him awhile longer with us.
